Positive: The palace is really beautiful and we enjoyed so much staying surrounded by history. Walking in the gardens and in the park has been peaceful and relaxing. Very good dinner and breakfast

Negative: The staff and the service do not seem at the expected level for a so luxurious hotel: the check in has been very low as the staff at the reception was not able to find promptly our reservation (despite it was done months in advance and confirmed also by themselves in the check in date with a welcome inbox message), sometimes was not easy to communicate in English with the bar staff. The swimming pool is a great plus but it wasn’t really clean unfortunately, and the pool bar is closed, and no bar service at the pool is provided (you have to go to the main bar to order and bring drinks by yourself with the result that they could heat during the walking back to the pool, unless you don’t ask for an ice bucket which is not very comfortable to take).

Positive: Great location, immersed in the countryside. Besides the hotel in a lovely historic building, there is also a fantastic museum about the family that owned the property.

Negative: There is nothing that I would change about the hotel. I believe it will be a surplus if the recovery of lakes and property trails keep being done.

Summary: Magical stay, a superb facility and excellent service.

Positive: The house was very beautiful, and the restaurant was delicious.

Negative: O did not like the fact that we are in Portugal and all information is written in Spanish. I was told they use the same stationary as the hotels in Spain , but if you are in Portugal I shouldn’t be reading information in Spanish.

Summary: I loved the location and building, but honestly having everything in Spanish and not in Portuguese really annoyed me.
