Positive: Modern, spacious and well equipped studio, great beds with spotlessly clean linen, large balcony with a stunning sea view. Important details that make your stay comfortable - there's a clothes drying rack with pegs on the balcony, as well as a retractable sunblind so you can enjoy the balcony throughout the day. If your apartment doesn't have a washing machine, you can use a common one free of charge. Very good AC - easy to control, and there is also a ceiling fan and mosquito sceens on windows and doors in case you want to sleep with your windows open & the sound of the sea. Everything looks exactly as pictured, apartments are set in a large olive grove and right across the road there's a tavern that serves breakfast from approx. 9am. Two more taverns on either end of the road within 5-10min walking distance,, both serving excellent food. The location is one of the best in the region - the surrounding terrain is flat so you can go for a morning or evening stroll/jog along the coast. Easy parking, plenty of spaces under the trees right in front of the apartment building entrance. The Paradisos and the adjacent two properties are all run by one extended family, so the whole area with olive trees and gardens is very well maintained, safe and peaceful. At any time of the day and evening there is always someone at the reception ready to assist with your request, always with a smile :) I needed some medication late in the evening when all pharmacies were closed and the ladies at the reception opened their first aid supplies and helped me out, much appreciated!

Negative: Cleaning only once per 3 days, and very limited - the cleaner merely took out the trash and changed the towels, no other action (for example making the bed, restocking the toilet paper, or washing up the few items in the sink). When cleaning is completed in literally any hotel or B&B (even in much smaller and less fancy properties), you can immediately telll when you enter the room - it's really a pity this was not the case here. Also, as everywhere in Crete, you are expected to throw used toilet paper in the bathtoom bin, which is tiny and fills up fast. Having a 3d worth of dirty toilet paper stashed in the bathroom is just something that downgrades the otherwise great experience of stay at Paradisos.

Positive: Paradisos indeed! lovely place in a very beautiful part of Crete, quiet, relaxing and safe. the studio was clean and comfortable, the territory around tranquil and picturesque, staff were friendly and helpful. plenty of parking spaces and very close to the village; a number of taverns in walking distance, gorgeous views

Negative: not 'didn't like' but just to highlight that it is much more convenient to have a car while staying there

Positive: Big apartment with amazing view, loved the terraces and that it was so close to the beach. Also loved that there were insect screens. Very calm town, fairly secluded but still had taverns and supermarket, so everything needed.

Negative: Not necessarily a negative but need to be aware that even with a car it can take quite a while to get around if you want to explore more of the island (crossing the mountains)
