Diamonds by the Sea is situated on one of the most beautiful white sandy beaches in Freeport. The crystal clear waters are several shades of aqua and turquoise. Days can be spent just relaxing and enjoying the peaceful serenity at Diamonds; And after a day on the beach, where on many occasions you can watch Dolphins swimming not far from the shoreline, a great BBQ on your deck, and a Hammock is just what is needed to wrap up a lovely day in Paradise. A short walk on the beach from us, are several beach bars and restaurants and also available are water sports activities, kayaking, sailing etc. We take pride in being one of the rare vacation cottages with privacy and yet less than 5 miles is Port Lucaya with its activities, Casino, restaurants, bars and shopping. We are also proud of the fact that Diamonds is where Keira Knightley chose to live and enjoy for several months while filming Pirates of the Caribbean II in Grand Bahama.
The Lilac Cottage offers you all the comfort of your home as it is Turn Key and is equipped with everything you would need. Just bring your personal effects, We have great Beach bars and restaurants as well as water activities available walking distance on the beach from us at Diamonds by the Sea. And even though a car is recommended, it is not a must as there is transportation available just a short walk from us. Nothing is far in Freeport, grocery, shopping, Casino, restaurants etc. are less than a 5 minute drive from us. And the best part is that you are practically on your own private, sandy, pristine beach when you want to get away.

Summary: Two couples shared the Lilac Cottage at Diamonds by the Sea. The cottage was charmingly decorated with tropical furnishings and art. Just steps from the most gorgeous powdery sand beach, we spent our days walking that beach or lolling under a palm tree. Sunworshippers were pleased to find the beach rarely inhabited. We swam in the crystal ocean water and collected shells and coral. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Diamonds by the Sea. Highly recommended!

Summary: The lilac cottage accommodated our family of five with no problem. Beach access was amazing and being in a gated community was a plus. The host gave great recommendations. The only downside was that the pictures need updating. Signs of wear and tear throughout are noticeable. Being in this Bahamian paradise we spent a lot of time outdoors. A little TLC to the deck area as well as the beach chairs would go along way. Although Freeport is not what it used to be we enjoyed our stay at Diamonds by the Sea!

Summary: The lilac cottage was perfect for it family of 6. We surf casted from the shore enjoyed the wonderful beach and had a vacation of a life time. Christmas dinner at Berthas blue dingy was a lovely island treat. Gladys is great at communications and very warm and helpful. Coming back very soon.

Summary: My family and I rented the Lilac and Key Lime houses for our vacation. It was very clean and felt like it was our home away from home! The owner was very friendly and if we needed anything, there was no hesitation on their part! We would be very happy to go there again! Summary: We just returned from staying at this beautiful property. Clean, bright and literally steps from an 8 mile stretch of pristine beach. The grounds are beautifully manicured, the beach was raked every day and is basically private (most days we were the only people for miles). Gladys (the owner) was very responsive to all of our needs and was a wonderful host. So many things to do on the island that we had no problem filling up our days beyond reading on the beach. Highly recommended.
