Diamonds by the Sea is situated on one of the most beautiful white sandy beaches in Freeport. The crystal clear waters are several shades of aqua and turquoise. Days can be spent just relaxing and enjoying the peaceful serenity at Diamonds; And after a day on the beach, where on many occasions you can watch Dolphins swimming not far from the shoreline, a great BBQ on your deck, and a Hammock is just what is needed to wrap up a lovely day in Paradise. A short walk on the beach from us, are several beach bars and restaurants and also available are water sports activities, kayaking, sailing etc. We take pride in being one of the rare vacation cottages with privacy and yet less than 5 miles is Port Lucaya with its activities, Casino, restaurants, bars and shopping. We are also proud of the fact that Diamonds is where Keira Knightley chose to live and enjoy for several months while filming Pirates of the Caribbean II in Grand Bahama.

Summary: This was a great home base-right on the ocean and with all the necessities. Just what we needed for traveling with a 13 month old! Restaurants and groceries were close by. Gladys was an amazing host and helped out with any questions we had! Very glad we found this place for our vacation!!

Summary: I enjoyed my time so much at Diamond by the Sea! Walked the beautiful beach twice a day. Played a little crib on the airy deck. Visited the Sand Bar for lunch or a cool drink every second day, so conveniently close to Diamond cottages. Gladys, the proprietor, could not done enough to make our stay incredible. Really was a trip of a life time. Three weeks jus wasn’t enough! Booking for next year! Weeeee!

Summary: We had a wonderful week stay around Thanksgiving at the Key Lime cottage. Everything was just as described. Gladys was very responsive and accommodating. She made good recommendations about local restaurants and activities. She was also very generous at extending our stay by a few hours so that we could do a late checkout before our flight in the afternoon. Much appreciated. There was a designated point person on the property so we could always ask questions etc if we needed a quick response. The beach was almost private with barely anyone else nearby. The proximity, location, was absolutely wonderful--we would love to come back!

Summary: My family and I stayed in the Key Lime cottage in Freeport for 10 nights. We had a wonderful experience! Gladys was so friendly and accommodating. She answered any questions we had before we got there and during our stay, she gave us some great suggestions on places to eat, things to see... she was the perfect host! And the cottage is in the perfect location. It's down the beach from most of the resorts so it's a little more quiet and secluded than if we would've stayed at a bigger hotel. It's right on the beach so we were able to go back and forth between the sun and shade very easily! When we were on the beach, we pretty much had it to ourselves... and what a beautiful beach it is! It looks exactly like the pictures you see on the website... absolutely gorgeous! And there are some great local restaurants within walking distance of the cottage so if we didn't want to worry about transportation, we had several options available for meals... and these restaurants have great food! Overall, our experience on the island was great... by far one of the best vacations we've ever had! The Key Lime cottage at Diamonds by the Sea was perfect for our family... very clean, away from the crowds and just the right size for the 5 of us! If you ever go to Freeport, you should definitely consider staying with Gladys. :)

Summary: Our vacation was great. Entertaining, adventurous but relaxing. We were steps from the beach with no one around for a few hundred yards. Gladys was awesome! Telling us great places to eat and where to go, she even let us borrow her car to get around the island one day to do some shopping and site seeing. Overall the residents on the island were friendly and very informative. We went to the local Junkanoo festival which was an experience you can’t get anywhere else. From live music and dancing to fried conch fritters. Another day we went kayaking through the mangroves and explored bens cave along with a lucayian sacred burial cave. The island was the perfect getaway and not to far from the US!

Summary: The property is stupendous, the location is outstanding...this is our 4th stay and I've already booked my trip for next year. Everything is just as described. You have a secure, secluded location with great accommodations: a/c, internet, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave and all utensils and amenities you could need/want. The very best thing is the deck area where you can hang out, grill, lay on the couch and read, nap in the hammock or just catch some rays. The place is kept immaculate and is truly my home away from home~
