Summary: What an AMAZING property!!!!! My wife and I decided to make this our February get-away home from the cold winter in the mid-west and we were not disappointed. Fountain Hills is a great area within minutes of Scottsdale. There are so many activities within 5 to 10 minutes of the house, we had difficulty making a decision. We went to the annual car show and the annual Art Fair by Fountain Hills Lake. Both had huge turnouts and a great way to spend a day with family and friends. We went hiking multiple days with trailheads 2 or 3 miles away. The trail at Lake Saguaro in a must which is a little drive away. Great places to eat all around town. Many with gluten free options. Day trips to Sedona or Jerome were also fun. Walk to the Eagle Mountain Golf course and practice facility (200 yards). There are also 4 courses within minutes but book your tee times early. But the best part of the home is the VIEW!!!! SPECTACULAR!!!!!! At the end of the day, around sunset, take time in the backyard. Watch the beautiful sunsets and when the sun goes down, start up the firepit, relax and watch the city lights and the flights come in and out of Sky Harbor off in the distance. Fountain Hills is a “dark sky” community …. there are no street lights. Turn off the firepit before you go to bed and look up. The constellations are fabulous. Speaking of fabulous. The host, Kara, is simply the best. She was available by text or phone if we had any questions or were looking for recommendations. Enjoy your stay, we did.
