Positive: The broad terrace of the cabin is an excellent spot for bird watching. You can easily spot 40 species (with a bit of patience and experience), like different tanagers, wood creepers, woodpeckers, crested guans, wrens etc. The Rio Celeste area is beautiful, but the access roads are challenging in the rainy season. It is better to visit this place in the dry season.
Negative: We expected two bedrooms as described in the Booking ad, but it is an open space. The double bed is separated by a wooden screen.

Positive: A lot of birds around Amazing to have a full kitchen
Negative: Some of the roads to get there were not paved, and really difficult to drive even for a 4x4. Please don’t take the southern route to get to Tenorio Volcano National Park, the northern route is better.

Positive: We loved the whole aesthetic of the lodge, was a gorgeous hut with cowboy features and completely wooden in a lovely local village
Negative: The first time we drove down was a little bit daunting after doing it once was fine, directions from host were great though

Positive: This is an amazing stay, such a high quality property, comfortable bed, clean, suitable kitchen for the amount of food prep we did. 4x4 is essential, bird life activity is captivating. If only all properties were this good. No WiFi signal or data , not a problem but good to be aware and bring cash to pay . Enjoy, we certainly did.

Positive: Beautifully designed, built and furnished. Clean, nice large deck, private and quiet. Comfortable beds and functional kitchen A wonderful place to hang-out with friends and family! The property's caretaker were very helpful and responsive.
Negative: The written directions that were provided to get there were not clear enough. Most roads in Costa Rica do not have signs, and distances were not provided. The roads are VERY rough, and you definitely will want 4-wheel drive, or at least a vehicle with high clearance to get over deep potholes and ruts.

Positive: Fantastic lodge with beautiful terrace. We’ve stayed in 10 different accomodations in CR, but this has to be the best one. Kitchen fully equipped. Was little worried about getting there but got very accurate directions from the host also lady was waiting to let us in. Would 100% stay again.
Negative: No wifi (4G mobile internet worked so no issue for me)
