Positive: Breakfast had very basic options but the location was very good. No electricity and the resort had its own generator which was operational from 7 pm to 11 pm After we were with the nature.

Negative: Electricity connection should be obtained by taking combined efforts with other resort owners.

Positive: Great location overlooking the lake. Cozy restaurant, good food. Very friendly people.

Negative: I think the 4-star rating is not adequate and misleading. These are simple cottages (as there are dozens around) which do not deserve this rating at all. Saying this, I still liked the place and can recommend it to others.

Positive: Superb location, wonderfully helpful and pleasant staff n great food, especially the egg curry. Bed was comfortable n heavy blankets were clean n kept me warm.

Negative: Pangong lake, at 4300m n a long way from anywhere, only offers spartan, basic accommodation. That’s it. No fancy hotels here. If you are clear that that is what’s on offer then I highly recommend Rajnbow Cottages. The staff then go the extra mile to ensure u are comfortable, a hot fire in the eating room n extra blankets on offer n chai n biscuits on arrival. But, like everywhere else, it is spartan.

Summary: Came to see the blue lake, stay warm n have a positive experience. All three areas covered n had a great time with lots

Positive: Direct view of the lake from our room, also the beautiful sunrise can also be viewed from the room itself. Food was tasty as well and they catered to our additional requirements during dinner . My son forgot his jacket there and the owner made arrangements for it to be sent to Leh and we picked it up from there.

Negative: This is not a review about the cottages per se, but in general about a stay at Pangong. It was extremely cold, since there is no power around the lake, heating is also not an option. So we were practically freezing at the middle of the night. So for people like us who are from the South and not accustomed to extreme cold, it is a sincere suggestion that you stay at some village nearby or do a day trip. This is with regards to April, hopefully it gets better by May.
