Positive: As a genuine backpacker this stay was like in the good old days when it was quite normale to have contact with the owners of a guesthouse. As a bonus Helen had a great book about Bob Marley. Pity I couldn’t ready it all.

Beautiful clean house with all amenities, great location with walking distance to everything you need, big room, quiet beaches - if we knew we'd book a longer stay and won't hesitate to have Palm View as a base for exploring the whole South of St Lucia.

Positive: It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Our room was large with an overhead fan and big bathroom with a walk in shower. Everything is nicely decorated. Our hostess/landlord Helen was welcoming and warm and had cold local beers and water in the mini fridge in our room waiting for us. She graciously gave us our own time in the shared kitchen and living room. She gave us pointers on local places to go and eat, which was very helpful because many do not have signs and just look like someone’s home and taught us how to navigate the bus system to go to neighboring cities. There was a balcony with an ocean view to eat at and constant breezes …. so much better than air conditioning! Rudy John Beach was a 3minute walk away, very private, with warmest water and waves that can float you away. The people in the village are friendly and we didn’t encounter any panhandlers or people trying to sell you things like other beach towns.
