Positive: We absolutely adored our stay here! Although our fall visit meant the beautiful gardens were nearing the end of their season, the sheer tranquility and charm of the property shone through. The garden and pool areas are lovely, offering many secret sitting spots perfect for quiet contemplation. The dinner experience was truly the highlight. We highly recommend planning this into your trip, as it's something you must schedule in advance. The chefs prepare a wonderful meal made just for you, making it an unforgettable occasion. They also offer a delightful breakfast and an evening wine area. Staying in one of the separate houses was a treat; we found the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful views so captivating that we could have happily stayed on the property the entire time. The local area, with its many wineries and proximity to Mt. Etna, only adds to the appeal. We certainly plan to return!

Positive: We were attracted to this location for the restaurant which lived up to expectations. The hotel is very unusual and has more the feel of a somewhat eccentric estate house. We enjoyed it and the gardens despite the poor weather. There is history, comfort and beauty strewn around the varied alcoves and paths.

Negative: Nothing to dislike but some of the quirks of the hotel wouldn't be value for all tastes.

Summary: Most will really enjoy it, but some may not see the value.

Positive: The location of the hotel is wonderful since you can do tours to Etna and other cities such as Taormina nearby. The hotel is charming, has a pool and you can really calm down in this quiet little town. The breakfast in the garden was lovely though I personally believe too expensive for what it was.

Negative: We stayed in one of the cottages and not the hotel rooms, where the vibe isn’t as majestic as the rooms (still cute though). If you look for the Palazzo experience, I suggest booking a room and not the cottage. Some things should’ve been communicated beforehand or written on the website (eg. there is no A/C just fans, and the beds are quite short and not the usual 2m). We also had dinner at the restaurant once and it’s an acquired taste - it’d be great if the hotel give more information on their website about what’s served so people have some idea when booking (raw horse meat isn’t everyone’s thing so a heads-up would be good to avoid disappointment, especially for that price).

Summary: All in all, there’s a charming vibe, but it didn’t live up to my expectations and wasn’t good value for money

Positive: The pool and breakfast were nice. Our bedroom was also conformable, cleaned an quiet.

Negative: The pictures from the website or Booking are slightly misleading. I was expecting a palazzo-like hotel, not necessarily luxurious but with some historical/charming/common areas (that part is actually private).
