Summary: Beautiful building and grounds. More info about room at checkin would have been helpful. Overall it was a very pleasant stay. Would highly reccommend.

Summary: 2 queen beds downstairs, plus another queen and a single in the upstairs/loft. Overkill for 2 of us. 2nd floor, up some questionable wooden stairs. Nice view over garden. Beds were comfy, towels big and plush. However: carpet was stained in many place. Toilet made ongoing strange noises after flush. Fridge/freezer was wheezy and rackety.

Summary: Room was great, view if ocean. Very dog friendly, great pub on site with good food at a good price. Seevice was excellent all round.

Summary: The location on the water provided really nice views. I feel this was a premier hotel at one time, but is showing some wear. The restaurant could easily be more upscale but was extremely basic.

Summary: Painters Lodge famous for world renown history. Recently purchased by the Evergreen Hospitality Group, who are changing that history, based on their own perceived ideas, by altering the deco, & removing locally displayed artifacts that were present for years. All new staff, not up to speed on customer service in the hospitality business. Experienced difficulties checking in, with a non fluent English speaking host.

Summary: The room was two floors with bedroom on top floor. The major problem was no air conditioning making room so hot that I had to sleep on couch.

Summary: The hotel need a update old and not up to today. Not what you will expect on a Lodge to that Price. Be aware that breakfest not is included - but can buys extra. The best I will say is a absolut wonderfull area the hotel is placed.

Summary: We had a relaxing family stay. Looking forward to returning once they finish renovations. Very relaxing area and really enjoyed an early summer morning walk around the property.
