Positive: The breakfast was lovely. When we notified the host that the bed was too hard, he provided for a topping, which helped.

Negative: We felt the place was not quite as described in the listing. It seems very remote looking at the pictures, but it is in fact in between and surrounded by restaurants. As opposed to the description, there is no pool. (Which is ok for us, but you just can't say there is a pool when there isn't ;-) ). The mattress of the bed was rock hard (not just hard, rock hard), so the first night we had very little sleep. The hosts did provide for a topping for our second night, and this did help. The sheet/blanket of the bed is not suited for a double bed (too narrow). It was not very clean (used soap bars from the previous guests in the shower, dirty windows,...) Be careful for overpriced excursions. There is only one big and very bright white light for the entire unit (including bathroom which did not have a ceiling), no smaller cosier lights.

Positive: The breakfast was incredibly delicious! Me and my partner was so surprised when the hosts brought out a complementary breakfast every single day, and even adjusted the food when I addressed my dietary needs! It was also good to get a taste of traditional Thai food.

Negative: It was good to keep in mind that Nakhon Si Thammarat is quite a rural area, and so a basic foundation of the Thai language would be really helpful, especially as Grab services aren't really available in that area.

Summary: Overall, super serene with amazing views, people, food and culture.

Positive: great little tiny house by a river. clean, tidy and lovely space. you can lay in bed and see the stars out the window. locals are very friendly. can get drinks and dinner from the little shops nearby. lovely place away from the hustle and bustle of busy tourist Thailand.

Negative: the only thing was the pillows were very big and hard.
