Summary: The place was clean, convenient, and safe. Was also incredibly reasonably priced. So it is an exceptional bargain though it's anything but fancy. The host, Tony, is very kind clear and accommodating.

Summary: Booked a room as a single traveller with double bed and got a room with three singles , one window with no curtains . No duvet or blankets just thin sheets. Not their fault but no food or breakfast options due to a gas leek. Looks like mid refurb with lots of wire hazards and tools left out on public areas. Pub part was ok despite no food.

Summary: The pub is “tired” and caters mostly for workmen. There isn’t any hot food available (no breakfast availability) only sandwiches later in the day. Hosts didn’t have our booking as they don’t use Hotels.com and treat emails from them as “spam”. There wasn’t any Wi-Fi, free or otherwise and the room wasn’t serviced during our stay. Strangely we were told not to drink the tap water although we don’t know why.

Summary: Lovely traditional pub with a lovely warm welcome. We prefer a pub to a hotel and it suited our needs perfectly and we will definitely be going back to stay there.
