Positive: This is a quirky property with lots of space for close family happy to share. The views of the river and rivermouth are great. Kitchen well equiped everything could need, bedding comfortable.

Negative: Location - its a fair walk down to the river and a 5min+ drive to either beach/ village/ slipway. Fine if the focus is family time in one spot but not so ideal for activities in area like boating. Single bathroom. And some messy storage and construction at the back which don't quite sync with photos but didn't really detract.

Summary: Family cottage for quality family time.

Positive: We had a wonderful stay. The location and view is beautiful. The cottage is spacious and has everything you need for a comfort stay. There is a large firepit and indoor braai / fireplace. Great for a couple or a group. Hot shower, comfortable bed, extra blankets for cold nights. The hosts Clair and Dirkus were great and very helpful. We arrived in the dark and Clair stayed on the phone with us until we arrived at the cottage safely. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.
