Completely remodeled 2 bedroom cabin. Central heat and air and propane fireplace. All new appliances. This cabin is located on the Ouachita River and has a 100 foot cement fishing deck. The perfect place to get away and relax. The cabin has satellite TV and a phone for local or emergency calls. Cell service is not the best. The bedrooms each have a queen bed. The bathroom has a shower and bath. The cabin is about 900 square feet. There is a loveseat and a couch also for a few extra kids to sleep on. 10 miles from Mt Ida AR and 45 miles from Hot Springs AR. 1 mile to Muddy Creek Wildlife Area and 15 miles to Lake Ouachita. Kayaks are available for $35.00 a piece for the entire stay. Shuttle service upstream is available.

Summary: This was the perfect place for our girls week of sewing, relaxing, hiking and catching up. Cabin was beautiful and clean. MJ, our host, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. The view from the porch surpassed our expectations. No internet and not much cell phone reception which was wonderful. Hope to go back next year.

Summary: Had a great time. Cabin was very rustic and tucked away in it's on place in the woods for privacy. Just a short walk down to the river where I truly enjoyed myself fishing and not but a few miles from town dining and supplies. Big thumbs up!

Summary: This property was a delight! You are truly unplugged when you stay here. Our family was able to re-connect. We ate most meals at the cabin. We played games, talked and ate together. The view of the stars at night You are surrounded by nature. Mt. Ida is a short drive away. Great place to get away for a few days. We will more than likely be back. Host answered all my questions promptly. If you are looking for peace and quit while surrounded by GOD's creation, this is it. Highly recommend this cabin.

Summary: I cannot believe we found such a beautiful cabin. This place and property is like a piece of heaven. I really did not expect for it to be so wonderful so peaceful and for there to be so much to do while you’re at the cabin. I travel a lot and I really didn’t expect the experience that I had in Arkansas and staying at this cabin. I will definitely be coming back next year with my son. I’ve shared the listing with multiple people. I can’t say enough about the experience, the cabin, the property, and the area.

Summary: The cabin was absolutely gorgeous, a wonderful little getaway for our family. The cabin had everything we needed. The weather however was bipolar when we were there, it was 70 degrees the first day and 30 and snowing the next, but that didn't stop the kids from exploring, though we often returned inside to the gas fireplace to warm up, which was my favorite part. I might make one suggestion to the owner. Upon leaving I could not remember what we were supposed to do(start laundry,take out trash, where to leave keys, etc), and since there wasn't any service to look online we did our best to tidy up, perhaps they might add a check-off list for renters, if that has been an issue in the past. We felt like we missed something, my apologies if we did. Thanks for the memorable stay! My kiddos cannot wait to return to the WOOD house :)

Summary: Quiet, secluded cabin with everything you need to relax and unwind. Comfy beds, high end appliances, clean, and fully stocked. The porch overlooking the river was the best….a great place to relax, enjoy morning coffee and star gaze at night. Thank you for the great communication and accommodations.

Summary: This was the perfect spot for my husband and I and 8 yo son. It is private. There are other houses along the river but you can barely see your neighbors through the tree cover, even in winter. We came the middle of February. The first day was high 60’s and second dropped in to the 30’s with rain. When you walk out the front door it smells of pines and there is a path down to a picnic table and tree swing. Go further down the path to the river. There is a wonderful cement platform that my husband fished off. Didn’t catch anything but it had just rained pretty hard. There is also a neat wobbly bridge to the right of the house that my son thought was fun. The home itself was beautiful! High end finishes and appliances. The stone counter tops were gorgeous! And the copper farmhouse sink in the kitchen a nice touch. There are two bedrooms, each with queen sized beds. Nice bedding. There is a washer/dryer in one bedroom that is very convenient. I’ll have to say this is the absolute cleanest VRBO rental we’ve ever stayed at, and we’ve stayed at a few. Wish it had been nicer out to enjoy the table and chairs on the front porch. There’s also a fire pit and grill in the back. We Loved going to Wegners crystal mine! Found a ton of quartz crystals. We found you only needed some garden trowels buckets and gloves. The staff was very helpful. We also went to sweet surrender. This is a mine where you call the owner and she lets you in. So you are on your own and it is a very peaceful place. It is very different than Wegners. It is more rocky, different soil and crystals are in the rocks. You have got to stumble in to Bluebell diner down the road for lunch. Talk about small town friendly folk. It is a step back in time that we loved! We absolutely loved our stay here! Two nights was NOT enough time! Oh, and there is no cell service. ( just to reiterate what the owners already mentioned). It is wonderful! They do have dish tv though. Don’t hesitate to rent this place. It’s a beautiful cabin retreat for sure!
