Positive: We loved everything about the lodge. It’s well appointed in a great location in Giverny with wonderful hosts. The view from the balcony is wonderful. Full kitchen and comfortable living room. Lovely bedroom and bath upstairs.

Positive: Afaf is truly a wonderful host! She warmly welcomed us on the day we arrived, the jam and bakery she recommended were all delicious! The decor in the house is amazing and with the view in the terrace, The bed is very comfortable, so does the two head shower. Me and mom loved everything!

Positive: Excellent accommodation, very well equipped, comfortable, clean. Well located and good parking avaiable on the premises. Afaf met us and showed us the apartment. Breakfast items provided which were much appreciated. Nice terrace, very convenient with A/C in the bedroom since it was very hot. Highly recommended!

Negative: There was nothing to complain about. Couldn’t be better. Bakery just across the street, several restaurans within walking distance.

Location within easy, pleasant walk of Monet home, impressionist museum,restaurants. Excellent bakery right across the street

Positive: An unexpectedly exceptional experience in an expectedly fine location. On our first day of rental car travel through rural France, and not knowing what to expect outside Paris, we lighted on this beautiful two-story duplex apartment. It was as picturesque as one could only hope to find in the home village of Claude Monet, whose own home was literally just steps away. The young owner, "AfAf," and her daughter greeted us at the door in English and helped us park in the small, gated parking area in front of their home, The facilities were lovely, comfortable and included all the comforts of home, including fresh flowers and breakfast fixings. Everything was absolutely first rate and a wonderful introduction to French village life.

Negative: If we could think of something on site to improve on, we would. As things were, even the weather cooperated. Excepting the absence of a train station, Giverny, and especially the Orpheus Lodge, come highly recommended as the perfect pied a terre either on a short visit of homage to a monumental French artist or as a base for wider excursions in Normandy.

Summary: Formidable! Wish we could have stayed longer.
