Positive: A very lovely, cozy, and quiet place to relax. Hale and her family welcomed us so warmly into their home. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed for our stay. We also had a terrace and a kitchen, which we shared with the guests from the neighboring room. Another great bonus was that we could use the washing machine for a small fee. Hale told us about the island and the history of the house, and gave us great recommendations about nearby beaches. She was always available and ready to help, and we truly felt her care throughout our entire stay. I highly recommend staying with her if you’re planning a trip to Büyükada. We’ll definitely come back to Hale when we return to Turkey. Thank you, dear Hale, for creating such a wonderful atmosphere during our vacation in your home!

Positive: I stayed with my 9 y/o son in the garden room for a few days. The owner, Ms. Hale, showed us all the rooms, and we chose the garden room among others. She was so kind, helpful, and informative during our stay. We had our own small garden area where we ate and relaxed. The entrance was separated. Actually, we felt quite safe in the area and never locked the door. It was fully open even at night, while we were sleeping. I enjoyed sweeping and washing the garden area in the mornings before breakfast. We used the common kitchen, located upstairs, to prepare breakfast and dinner. For lunch, we used beach restaurants. There are three beaches close by. Nizam Beach is closest (a few minutes). It has sunbeds, showers, food service, but no toilets. We tried the national park's wild beaches. It was a few minutes uphill. We found a private bay there. It was nice, but not good for swimming (too wild and rocky). Finally tried Yigitali beach, the most organized one. It has everything, including lockers and free boat shuttle service to downtown. Overall, the cost/benefit ratio was so good. We have enjoyed our stay so much and recommend the place to all travellers.

Negative: The room is a little small, but it was our choice. There are bigger rooms if you like. There was no AC in our room, but Ms. Hale provided us with a cooler, so the temperature was not a problem. Since it is an island and there are forests all around, mosquitoes were everywhere. We were bitten by them all day and night. So come prepared with a mosquito repellent spray. Keep the room door with the mosquito net closed to be free of mosquitoes at night. Public buses are way too expensive (2€). And it is even 4€ if you use credit card directly. So you should buy an Istanbul card for your transportation to and within the island.

Positive: The property owner is a great person, so nice, I liked the house also very Turkish style cosy

Negative: The room was alittle small but it was our choice, I think it can be better for one person but overall good
