Positive: Great location to the pyramids. Rooftop restaurant is a huge plus. Food great. View AMAZING. Manu was so helpful in every way.

Negative: The bathroom needed towel rails and some hooks. I was very disappointed with the guided tour that was organised by the hotel. Guide was Mohammed. Older gentlemen that lives across the street. It was very expensive comparatively. And we still had to pay entry on top of the tour price (which we were aware) Didn’t get anything that was supposed to be included in the tour price eg. Water, hat, scarf, a guided tour of the pyramids and sphinx. Guide basically was in a hurry. Pointed to things, quick 2 or three points and sat down and told us he’d sit and wait. Didn’t walk us around anything. Was pointless him even being there. We listened to stories from other guides. He was on his phone a lot and then took us to a perfume shop which I was very unhappy about. I said I wanted to go back to the Hotel. He took us to a papyrus shop. I didn’t get out of the car and told him to return us to the hotel. I did let them know and Manu was very sorry. But we should have been given our money back. That’s how bad it was. This was not an option given to us. What a scam. So, just book a guide through Trip Advisor or something similar. This was the only tour we didn’t do that. And it was clearly foolish.

Summary: Great spot. Don’t use their Giza Tour Guide.

Positive: The location is right across from the pyramids and the rooftop restaurant has an amazing view and excellent service and the food is good. The hotel staff, led by Manu, is extremely kind and helpful. I decided to go ahead and use them for the $25 hotel transfer when I got into Egypt, not knowing if my eSIM card would work. My driver was waiting in ground transportation for me with a sign, and whisked me straight to my front door of Onyx and brought my luggage into reception where I was greeted by Manu and the staff. He showed me the pool and restaurant and made sure I had everything I needed. The area didn't seem very walkable and not much around----but that's only because I went the wrong way! Once I moved into Cairo, the cab-ride made me realize that I should have just went left and I would have been able to have many outlets for enjoyment. I would definitely stay here again---especially if you're just doing the pyramids in Giza.

Negative: Breakfast at the restaurant was a bit inconsistent, though the service was top notch. I still at here four times and enjoyed the view and hospitality. The area nearby is could be a bit cleaner---but that has nothing to do with Onyx....they're spotless!

Positive: Jamal and his team are friendly. He loves talking to people and give you hitns in how to go about your day in Cairo. I enjoyed having conversation with all team members. Rooms, and mattress, clean, and comfortable,, Rooftop is beautiful, food is awosome, great stuff is amazing, oversees the pyramids, I highly recommend it if you want stay close to Pyramids. To get to the pyramids, you take an uber, it's around 2km away the gates close to the hotels are closed and not allowed for tourists. Shokram Jamal

Positive: It was close to pyramids and the museum. Also I had a meeting in Marriott hotel where I had my business meeting. Also the breakfast was nice we used to pick the country and Egyptian breakfast.

Summary: Staff are very kind and helpful. Very close to many locations such as the museum and pyramids.
