Positive: A lovely spacious house with the added bonus of a table tennis table which was great fun to play with my teenage son. Comfortable beds and pillows, nice secure outdoor patio at the rear. A 20 minute walk down a hill to a lovely beach or a 5 minute drive. Garage, shop and chippy a 5 minute drive away also. Owners were friendly with their communications.

Negative: Blackout blinds or curtains would be a good idea during summer when it gets light really early and a supply of coffee, tea and sugar would be a bonus.

Positive: Brilliant location the near by beach/cove is stunning and the lobster at the pub there so good. Big comfy beds, onsuite for every room appropriate soap and shampoo. Ping-pong table was fun 😄. Very well stocked kitchen, appreciated the little touches like washing up liquid, salt and vinegar and coffee pods. Let in little early (3pm) which was great after a long drive. Owners son very nice.

Negative: Just needs a cobweb clear out on the high windows and in the corners few cellar spiders and flys around. Also never used outside space as cushions saturated (need some cover from rain) and cobwebs there too, needed a good sweep and tidy.

Positive: One Tree House is in a brilliant location at the base of Dinas Head near Fishguard. The hamlet is charming - there are two beaches to visit nearby and wonderful walks, archaeology and nature all round the area. We found the house to be very comfortable with three bedrooms and bathrooms plus large kitchen/diner and games room (very useful for that rainy day.

Negative: Not as clean as some of us might have hoped eg some grubby corners in the bathrooms.

Positive: Loved the living room and kitchen area. It gave us all a great first impression! The log burner was a must for us and worked very well. The kitchen was well stocked with most things we needed for cooking Xmas Dinner with a big range and dishwasher etc. Large cellar with utility area provided a large freezer and washing machine. The beds were super comfortable, and it was great having ensuites in every bedroom. The location in a lovely village within a quick walk to the Pembrokeshire coastal path and beautiful Pwllgyaelod beach. Great for us and our dog. Also, a lovely enclosed patio, which was good for letting the dog out on stormy evenings and looked like it would be lovely for using the BBQ provided or Al fresco dining in good weather. Parking at the property was big enough for our large vw transporter and a large car and it was very handy, being able to unload straight out of the garage doors from the cellar into the cars during storm Gerrit. The owner, Judith, was very helpful via texts and even advised us that we could take our time checking out, as the cleaner wasn't due until the following day. Overall, we loved the property and had a lovely stay.

Negative: Some of the booking process was complicated by the cottage being a Sykes booking via booking.com, and I struggled with the links provided to the Sykes website, and in turn, the owner struggled to communicate back. I felt the owner and guests would be better served by solely using booking.com, who I have always used with no issues. No wood provided. It would be nice to have wood provided for at least your first night, as has been our experience everywhere else we have stayed with a log burner. No tea towels or dishwasher tablets, also usually provided. No Christmas tree, which I would expect staying for Xmas, although I had enquired beforehand and was advised there wasn't one. No information pack with instructions for the appliances of the cottage, etc. Usually, you get a pack telling you where everything is and how to use them, should you need it, plus recommendations for nearby pubs, walks, etc. Ensuites appeared a lot older than than the rest of the property and could do with a refresh, and quite a few bulbs were blown in them. Whilst the showers worked really well, the condition of the grout, etc, lets the overall high standard of the property down. Some general maintenance is required. Some dog hairs in one of the ensuites on arrival. Food waste bin hadn't been collected prior to our arrival.
