Quiet 4 bedroom (1,600 sq ft) home on a wooded 1/2 acre lot on the Eno River. Yard is beautifully landscaped and bumps up to wooded parkland with deer roaming freely. Pond and waterfall will lull you into peaceful relaxation. Large deck area for relaxing, grilling out and gathering. Back deck includes a screened in porch that also opens off the master bed room. You can relax in the hammock, on the deck, or roam freely through the woods and hike the trails along the Eno. Or on a hot summer days take a short walk to a great swimming hole. House includes a master bed and bath with king bed. There are two additional rooms with queen beds and a furnished room above the garage with bunk beds and a reading nook for the kids. The large TV in the living room in addition to two bedroom TV's come with 70+ cable stations as well as Roku on which you can sign into your own Netflix, Hulu or amazon accounts. High speed WiFi is also available.

Summary: The house was beautiful, inviting, the host was very kind, enjoyed watching the deer out back of the house as they frolicked around. I would stay there again and highly recommend it to friends. Really appreciated letting us bring our service dog.

Summary: Three generations of family members came to Durham for a weekend of kayaking, paddling our 16th WNC lake in 2 years. We could not have found a more perfect place to stay! My adult grandson had to cancel out but he would have loved the room above the garage as his own special little nook! The home was neat and tidy, warm and cozy. The ideal spot to tuck in at the end of our day. I could see myself loving this home as the perfect, quiet spot to retire! My little dog enjoyed our morning and evening walks down to the Eno River along the Mountain-to-Sea Trail. Each morning we were greeted by 2 does and a group of triplet fawns. We have stayed at many VRBO rentals over the years. This, we believe, was one of our top 3!! Our last day of kayaking was rained out. We plan to return to the Durham area next spring to float the waters of more lakes in the area and stay here again!

Summary: Very cute setting, back deck and back yard were very charming, spent a lot of time out there. Biggest concern was overwhelming musty/moldy smell, very prominent in bedroom above garage.

Summary: Good place. Kitchen had lots of cooking utensils which was nice. Also lots of bath towels and trash bags, dishwasher soap, paper towels which makes it nice for our stayCommunication was great neighborhood is quiet

Summary: Our family gathers in Durham for several days to see old friends before we leave for the beach. This is our absolute favorite place to spend these days. The beautiful inside and outside areas are all so lovely, and occasionally some have made the trek down to the Eno River. This year is perhaps the 5th time we have stayed here!
