Positive: Olivia Guest House is one of the few properties in Mwanza that provides a family room at a very good price, especially with breakfast included. The breakfast was plentiful and featured a variety of interesting items like cassava, sweet potato, noodles, bread, coffee, and tea. The room size was ginormous and very spacious, with a lovely balcony. We also appreciated the option to order food from a partner restaurant for delivery. The location is safe and full of greenery; we even saw monkeys and a green snake in the yard! Housekeeping was also consistently well done.

Negative: The property is a bit dated, but it was generally okay. However, the reception was often unattended, which was challenging when we needed assistance. The biggest issue was the bathtub, which was broken and leaking. Despite being told someone would come to fix it, no one showed up during our entire 7-day stay. This was a disappointment for the kids who were looking forward to using it. Additionally, the internet was laggy, and we noticed the towel supply decreased throughout our stay—we started with four large and four small towels, but eventually, we were only given two.

Positive: A marvelous setting among granite boulders and tall native trees. The interior was sufficient for the price.

Negative: It would have been nice if the restaurant was functioning for supper, as well as breakfast.
