Positive: I just wanted peace and quiet and I definitely got it. It is hard to believe that the property is next to the highway because once one is in, it feels very far from the usual urban noise. What I liked most was that the staff members were very friendly and always had an evening fire just for me. The property is big enough with some trees and a river that runs at the end of it. They have benches scattered around the property so one can easily find a secluded place to just sit in quiet. Overall, I can see myself going back

Negative: The food was average and dinner has to be ordered hours ahead of time. I arrived at around 6pm on the first day and they told me they could not give me food because I had not ordered early enough. They did offer a menu for food to be delivered from a nearby place but I passed

Positive: Beautiful setting, very comfortable bed and lovely bed linen

Negative: My shower would only give me cold water. I tried fiddling with the controls for a few minutes but gave up in the end. I also made myself a coffee but it wasn’t instant but instead ground coffee but there was no cafetière so it was full of grains and undrinkable

Summary: It was such a shame that $130 per night and I couldn’t enjoy the shower. Please train your staff to explain how the show

Positive: a tranquil property set in delightful gardens with an outside terrace complete with on open fire which we enjoyed every evening. The accommodation was a welcome sanctuary at the end of the day and the staff were exceptional. Muriuki in particular was efficient, reliable and discreet organising early breakfasts brought to our room, packed lunches and late evening meals. He and his fellow workers made sure that our fire burnt brightly and that we were comfortable and happy at all times.

Positive: Lovely location and a perfect getaway, but it is steep in price. The accommodation is great. We liked the cottages with the verandah, and the gardens are great. The swimming pool area is lovely.

Negative: The swimming pool did not look clean, so we didn't use it. The nature trail is a bit restrictive as it was steep. The cafeteria is well designed but we couldn't choose where to sit and the breakfast should be a buffet. We didn't like being asked what we would like to eat. By the time the breakfast reached our table from the kit hen upstairs, it was cold. The eggs were either overdone or not as we would have liked them.
