Summary: We spent several evenings at this quaint farm in Tuscany. It was the absolute highlight of our trip to Italy!! The farm was in the perfect location for our day trips throughout the area. David even helped us pay our local parking ticket. The perfect hosts!

Summary: We stayed with our two daughters (4yr and 1yr) at Paola and David's place and had a lovely time. The swimming pool and air conditioning were very welcome as we stayed in probably the hottest week of the year. The apartment is spacious but cozy and the garden is lovely. Recommended!

Summary: Loved our stay at this beautiful old stone house. The owners live on site and were so helpful with directions, suggestions for shopping, etc. The grounds are gorgeous! Food and wine, and homemade jam, were provided for our first night which was appreciated. Aside from the couches needing replacing, the entire apartment was spacious and delightful. It had lovely little decorative touches to make it homey. The beds were comfortable and we had two full bathrooms for the four of us (2 retired couples). The house is in the country but only minutes from a grocery store and other shops. We made dinner most evenings after touring all day. The location, near the walled city of Lucca, it is central to so many towns - we spent a week exploring Tuscany (including Pisa, Siena, Cinque Terre) and absolutely loved it. The roads were narrow and curvy but quite safe if driven appropriately. Would highly recommend it.

Summary: We stayed, with a family of 5, in the Stonehouse of Paola and David for 1 week. It was a very pleasant stay. We had an apartment with 2 bedrooms and a spacious living. When we arrived there was a welcome package in our apartment with a homemade pie, wine, jam and some other things. this was so nice! Summary: We spent three evenings at the Old Stone Farmhouse this past week. We loved the location and found it to be near many of the places we wanted to visit such as Lucca, Pisa and Florence. We liked that it was tucked out of the way an truly in the country. The inside of the rental was plenty large for all 5 of us (2 parents and 3 adult children). We enjoyed that it had wi-fi as well. The only drawback was that it was cool in the evenings and we were actually cold in the house. We didn't know how to work anything and we got in too late each night to want to bother Paula or David. So just a heads up on that if you are from America.

Summary: We were very glad to have found this place. Paola and David were wonderful hosts and very helpful, as this was our first time visiting Italy. We were greeted with a delicious fruit torte and bottle of wine upon arriving. We drove to many of the places they recommend and were not disappointed. I was given a bottle of wine from a local winery from Paola for a birthday present. How thoughtful! We highly recommend the Stonehouse for a very relaxing and quiet stay. Summary: We greatly enjoyed our time at this lovely farmhouse. Paola and David greeted up upon our arrival and provided some welcome treats in our apartment. The property was lovely. I enjoyed looking at the flowers and soaking up some quite time. (I found travelling in Italy to be a bit overwhelming with the so many tourists in the cities. You will not find this to be an issue here!) Thank you for your hospitality!

Summary: The property itself was stunning, surrounded by beautiful flowers and greenery, and included several outdoor seating/dining areas. Every morning when we got up David and Paola were out grooming the grounds, and always so friendly and cordial. We shared the 1st floor apartment with our daughter and husband and found the accommodations to be very clean and comfortable for the 4 of us. It was very quiet and peaceful. Paola and David went far and above the call of duty in helping us make the most of our visit to this beautiful area. They were outstanding hosts and gave us great recommendations! This location was a good starting point for day trips in the area. We explored Lucca, Pisa, the Garfagnana region/Barga, wine country from Chianti to Siena (and the winery at Castello Vicchiomaggio at Greve in Chianti is worthy of a visit - call ahead for a tour and lunch), the beach at Viarreggio, and of course, Florence. Even though we had a rental car, we took the train into Florence City Center, which I would recommend over driving and trying to park. A rental car with GPS to help navigate the area roads is a necessity. Within walking distance of StoneHouse is a restaurant, Paolo & Paola, which had excellent food - best pizza ever! Another restaurant I would highly recommend is Pizza Man in Florence, which was near our airport hotel on our last night. Very friendly staff and they specialize in home made pasta - delicious! HomeAway is aptly named, as every evening when we returned to StoneHouse we felt like we were going home. Thank you Paola and David!

Summary: Paola and David were the consummate hosts. They were there to welcome us in person along with homemade goodies (fresh fruit tart and wine and juice). Their recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing were spot on. Their responsiveness to our queries and willingness to help was the key to our wonderful time in Tuscany. I would stay there again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend this charming place!!

Summary: The stonehouse was perfect and the hosts Paola and David were awesome. From a homemade dessert and a bottle of wine to greet us to recommendations on where to eat and what to visit, everything was spot on. Will definitely be at the top of my list if I make ot back to italy. Can't say enough good things about our stay in lucca.
