Positive: The suite was nice and clean! The bed was comfortable and the view was great. We had room 20 with a king size bed. It has 2 large windows overlooking the river. Across the street from the hotel is a couple of restaurants. The price was very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Negative: Nothing really to complain about. The only thing I would change is the chair by the fireplace should be removed. It's old and worn and it's needed in the space. Also the freezer needs to be defrosted in the small fridge. These are just suggestions for the owner.

Positive: The location near charging station and restaurants. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

Negative: Minor irritations in older motel which was being renovated. Issues - bathroom door did not close fully. Front door lock needed to be adjusted to lock. Owner came and made the necessary adjustment.

Positive: location was great right on Lake Huron. It was bitter cold out however the room was warm and comfortable.

Negative: Arrived early, no one was in the office. had to wait 2 hours for someone to show up- Even though the sign on the office door said open. Step into room is too high making it difficult to get into. Bathroom: Toilet is not secure ready to fall through floor. Cracked ceiling paint falling off. Shower wall has cracks in it. and is probably leaking. caulking is pour. Door has large chips all along the bottom. Not sure what the black stuff on the wall is. Chair at desk was ripped and falling off. and you couldn't sit on it. Needs to be replaced.

Summary: Would not recommend it's falling apart. It needs an update badly.

Positive: Great location. Everything else was good or reasonable except not being able to make the room dark at night.

Negative: No window covering on one of the windows left a security light shining into the room all night so brightly it seemed like day time outside all night and disrupted our sleep.

Positive: We rented several rooms for family. Having grown up here, the location is why I chose this motel. New owner was very accommodating and is renovating as he has time. It's clean and cozy. Location near the water is peaceful.

Positive: Having grown up in this town, this motel was always one I liked for its location. We have stayed there twice now. It is old and somewhat outdated, but our rooms were clean, and the owner was very accommodating. He is renovating the rooms as needed.
