Summary: A beautiful, fully updated stone house in an idyllic location. One of the very best VRBO rentals in which we have stayed. May appear remote but is within easy driving distance to Urbino, San Leo, Urbania, and other interesting towns. Highly recommended.

Summary: Off the beaten track for sure, but the bumpy drive is well worth the effort, as you get a WOW! when arriving at this fabulous house. Great views in rural setting, this is a super house for a relaxing holiday. The welcome pack was very handy upon arrival. Spotlessly clean, all mod-cons, and comfortable accommodation, means you can just unpack and relax. A choice of shady patios when you want shade, and lots of outdoor furniture, so we sat back and enjoyed the views. We enjoyed the figs from the tree in the well-tended garden. A good supermarket in Mercatale is 20 mins drive away for all you need, and the house is a great base for touring, We enjoyed trips to San Leo, Urbino, and San Marino; but local Sassocorvaro is also a special place to visit with great views over the reservoir. We were well looked after by our hosts, and Simonetta, Thank You!

Summary: First off our hosts are such lovely people, they met us in San Donato and we followed them a very short distance. We arrived late and they kindly had prepared a light dinner for us complete with wine!!!! Delicious. The photos do not do it justice it is even more beautiful in person. Great location for short trips to the numerous small towns with many sites to see. We also enjoyed our relaxing days at home in the sunshine and the beautiful roaming hills. Highly recommended!!!!!

Summary: The house is beautiful. It is well appointed and has a wonderful garden with flowers and fruit trees. The views of the valley are simply gorgeous. It is a true rural retreat. The main negative is that it is a drive to go anywhere. Sassocorvara is lovely with fine restaurants about 15 minutes and urbino about 30 mins. Be warned the condition of some of the roads is terrible so distances take longer than expected. But fortunately the house itself is such a lovely place to spend time

Summary: Classic restored stone home exceeded our expectations. We found a great get away in the unspoiled area of Marche, away from the tourist areas of Tuscany, among local people and communities of every day Italy. Our experience was very private and quiet with only the peel of distant church bells. Great access to restaurants and food stores, as well as easy access to places such as San Leo and Urbino. The home had a well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds and furnishings, and two wonderful outdoor sitting areas where we spent most of our time appreciating the hill town views, eating local foods and produce, and of course sipping the local vino -even on a rainy day. We enjoyed figs and pears, as well as herbs from the garden of our gracious hosts. We have stayed at some fine other homes around Italy, but this home has to be an all time favorite. This home is perfect for a single couple, or two adult couples traveling together. We wish we would have booked longer.
