Positive: Great location, right in front of Lake Chuzenji (around 5 mins walk) but facing a side road so it was nice and quiet. The bathroom was spotless and shampoo, conditioner, bathing wash was provided. The owner was also very kind and let me leave my bag during the day after check-out (though this could depend as owner may need to leave and you wont be able to leave your bags, so I was lucky). Communication was also easy as he spoke in English. Would stay again. I wanna gatekeep this nice place TT.

Summary: Great stay. Super clean facility, and nice owner.

Positive: Loved the homey vibe, and the host Take was wonderful, giving us lots of help with directions and recommendations for site visits, even going so far as to print out maps and highlight/annotate for our benefit. The kitchen was great to use, and the free tea selection was lovely. The facilities were so clean, and the view overlooking lake Chuzenji was unbeatable. Truly a little getaway retreat. Location was great for transit as well, located right by stop 28 on the Yumoto Onsen bus line. Also loved the deer leather jewelry made by Take’s sister.

Summary: A beautiful, homey spot with great views and an excellent host (Take)

Positive: Chuzenji area, onsens, mountains means nice nature and you can still enjoy it despite of the growing tourist industry. The good planning is important. I was in Chuzenji area many times with bicycle ,hiking etc. since 50 years ago. I found Takeru as excellent host from the young Japanese generation. His place is well mantained and among others also good base to climb Nantai san.

Summary: Chuzenji area and Takeru will not dissapoint You. My 1st Nantai san top was exactly 50 years ago.

Positive: The location was perfect as someone who hiked Mount Nantai earlier in the day. It was raining during the hike so the shoe dryer and other amenities provided were very helpful for drying all my stuff. The beds were comfortable and everything felt very clean. The staff were also very friendly and helpful (thank you!). I came on a Saturday and stayed one night, surprisingly I was the only guest staying in the female dorm so I could sleep very comfortably.

Summary: Perfect for a Mount Nantai hiker. Would come again

Positive: The location is very good. It's just 300-500m from kegon falls. Rooms are spacious despite having three bunk beds with a capacity of six adults in a room. It's just a guesthouse not a full fledged hotel room so bare minimum expectations were met.

Negative: Nothing specific. But 25000JPY for one night for a family of four adults and a small kid seems more expensive for a guesthouse though.

Summary: Good Accomodation, Family friendly for decent price
