Positive: Knowing how small the properties are in tokyo , this place was big enough for a family of 7. It was also near the train and bus stations. Lots of convenience stores nearby and also a big supermarket.

Negative: We are a family of 7 but dining table only has 3 chairs.

Summary: Our family had a great time and host responds quickly to queries

Positive: We really enjoyed our stay at Cosy House. It has some sliding walls / doors that offer a traditional style in a simple modern home, with a table that allowed us to sit on the floor to eat, and the children loved this. However, there are no 'comfort features' to allow for relaxation such as comfy chairs or sofa's if you are using the sofa bed as we did. The property is a bit of a walk from Oji Station, particularly if you've had a long day on your feet in the city (or its raining) (about 10-12mins once you've worked out a good route), so worth planning this in to a days iteinrery because you'll always be drawn into 100 yen stores, or Lawsons Store or 7-11's for snacks and drinks which generaly eats up time. The area is a relatively peaceful, residential one (give or take a few sirens late at night, but this is Tokyo remember) and offers several izakayas and yakitori spots, noodle or sushi spots on the back streets between the station and Cosy House, so there's plenty of eating opportunity at reasonable rates, and you can mix with the locals which is always good fun. Check out Torijiro Oji 鶏ジロー王子店 and Hanpei 大衆割烹半平. Compared to other accommodation the apartment was rather spacious. We were able to sleep five people, all in beds, which were comfortable, with the option for a further mattress to allow one to sleep in the living area (in a Japanese style) on the Tatami mat floor. The compact shower / bath / unit was perfectly adequate with good hot water and pressure. It was perfect for our stay and we would stay again as the rate was pretty good, and the station was we'll connected (if only it were slightly closer).

Negative: The accommodtaion was fine for us. A family of two adults and three young children, but it it were five adults then it would have been a little cramped, mainly because the kitchen / dining space is very small with only four chairs. The kitchen was very limited in terms of utensils and pans, with a mini oven / toaster, hob, grill and kettle. The kettle didnt turn itself off once boiled, so could be a hazard if left unattended. We only had breakfast cereals, toast and coffee or pot noodles late at night; eating out most of the time, and ony sleeping at the aprtament, so it wasn't too much of an issue for us. Theres a washing machine was was useful as we were travelling light, but there's limited drying failities other than the natural air and a line on the balcony. In summer its not an issue. Its worth noting the steep stairs in the property. But this is the norm in Japanese homes due to the small floorplate, so if you have toddlers or have elderly guests its worth taking into consideration. The only really negative comment would be that the place needs a thorough deep clean. There was much dust under the beds, along skirting and the corners of rooms, which were found when making the sofa bed ready for sleeping.

Summary: A comfy stay at Cosy House, OJi. Our first home-from-home in Tokyo that we'd definitely visit again.

Positive: We stayed with friends, three of us. We were all happy. We recommend it for a group of friends or couples. The apartment had everything you need. NB Be sure to read the instructions completely. We had to pay a fine only because of our carelessness.

Positive: Location was great. I walked around the neighborhood at different times of the day, peaceful neighborhood. Nearest train station is right in front of a 100-Yen Store, great shopping store for anything. Convenience stores, Grocery stores, are walking distance. I also liked that the property had 2 toilets.

Negative: The plates in the property were small, looked like a saucer. Perhaps it is the norm in Tokyo (i'm not sure), but it would have been nice to have full sized plates. Other than that, everything was good.

Negative: We believe the ac within the combine tatami room and second bedroom has mold. After spending time in the room, cold like symptoms appeared in both guests staying in that room. Said symptoms dissapeared nigh immediately after one day oit of the booking location. This severely hampered our stay in Tokyo.

Summary: generally good, but felt awful second half of stay due to sickness.

Positive: Nice location in more residential area- less touristy which was nice. It was nice to have a big space to spread out and be able to do laundry at the end of the trip

Negative: The WiFi didn’t work in the farthest bedroom which was annoying but I’m still glad we stayed here
