Summary: RAINBOW BEE COTTAGEI love it here. I could live here. I can breathe deeply and relax, on a working farm with wifi. Surrounded by lush, green tropical beauty, with a simple, sincere aloha welcome from the nearby hosts. To me this is the real Hawaii, not the overly-manicured landscapes and the high-rise excesses of the resorts. We are comfortable with spacious, bare-board basics; with smart, thoughtful, unobtrusive amenities and lovely, artful touches all around. At night it is dark and quiet. If I wake up in our warm, comfortable bed and open my eyes, I can often look out the window at a sky full of stars. From the same window I can watch the dawn colors, hear the birds waking up and listen to a chorus of frogs. Aaah!

Summary: I stayed here with my boyfriend, looking for a slow paced stay near Honokaa. The property is truly unique, with lots of privacy and space to think and enjoy nature. There was a simple, basic kitchen which had lots of supplies like local tea and honey. There was even fruit for us grown right on the property! This is far from a tourist trap; expect a stay in a cute guesthouse with very thoughtful hosts.

Summary: We loved the peaceful quiet and privacy of the cottage. Richard and Candice were very welcoming. They have attended to every detail to ensure an attractive and comfortable environment and generously provided organic coffee and delectable honey from their own bees. The location is excellent for exploring the whole north and northeast parts of the island.

Summary: Hosts were went beyond our expectations. It's not everyone who stays in a former beekeeping education facility (retired beekeeper host) . Was a bit chilly at night, but once I used the provided heaters, was fine. It's nice to have more room than a hotel room. We've stayed at 5 star resorts on a beach that had been ranked #1. I enjoyed the space & quiet here more. We did miss the beaches, but they are less than an hour away. During our stay, storms made the beaches unusable anyway.I don't want to compliment them too much, since we don't want the place to be sold out next time. :)

Summary: Secluded and comfortable. The owners have considered everything one might need and provided for it. Windy roads did not prevent us from finding local groceries or restaurants or exploring this part of the island.

Summary: From the moment we arrived at the Bee Cottage, we felt like we had "come home". The warm welcome we received from Candice and Richard, the spacious, comfortable and cozy cottage, the lovely gardens, the privacy and solitude, and all the extras, like coffee, tea, honey, great DVDs and books, and so much more, all made our stay here extraordinary! Having to leave after only 4 days was the only difficult part of our stay. Mahalo to Richard and Candice for your kindness, aloha and generous spirit. Laurie and Rusty

Summary: The property and cottage exceeded our expectations. The cottage was much larger than we thought it would be, well equipped for a comfortable stay and very clean. The owners are local, know the area well and can help with anything you may need to know. Location is central to seeing different areas of the island. Loved our stay there.
