Positive: It’s my second time staying at Ochiairo, and I cannot fault them. Every detail is meticulously planned for you to enjoy the most relaxing and mindful stay. The property itself is stunning and offers many spaces for you to relax and unwind. The food is also incredible and one of the highlights of the whole experience.

Negative: I just wish we could have late checkout.

Summary: A really magical stay. Second time coming here. First time was in March with my partner and this time on a solo trip. ?@

Positive: Ochiairo is an extraordinary experience from top to bottom. The public and private onsens, delicious kaiseki dining, spectacular rooms, and exceptional hospitality made for an unforgettable getaway.

Negative: Truly zero complaints. Non-Japanese speakers should understand communication is a little challenging, we were the only non-Japanese guests during our visit, but exercise patience and respect and flexibility and you’ll be fine.

Negative: Value for money questionably. You get a nice and traditional - yet simple - inn for the price of a high end luxury resort. We had a good stay but it was not worth the money we spent.

Positive: This was an incredible, once in a lifetime, type of experience. We only left once over five days. We ate amazing food, read books in the lounge, used the beautiful baths, and sipped tea That’s all. And it was so wonderful. Fully restorative. The staff is incredible, they took such good care of us. We have already booked our return trip. And we’re bringing family with us next time to share this experience with them! This is a very special place.
