Positive: My room had a balcony facing the sea and I really enjoyed it. Nice to have a small fridge in the room. The host was really welcoming and informative. There is a bus stop nearby in case you don't rent a car, but you can wonder around Beau Vallon beach by walking

Negative: Location is a bit up hill. There are not really food options at less than 20 min walk, which was a bit annoying especially for dinner

Positive: The location is convenient, close to a bus stop and a supermarket, but keep in mind there is a steep hill to reach the apartment. A highlight of the apartment was the stunning terrace,we enjoyed dining outside

Negative: Our stay at the apartment in Mahé was a bit disappointing. The cleanliness was below expectations — we even found a cockroach among the kitchen pots, which was quite unpleasant. Before our departure, we sent three messages asking if we could leave our luggage until 8 PM, as our flight was at 11:50 PM. The night before leaving, the host said it was possible, but on the day of departure, we were told we had to collect our bags by 6 PM. This last-minute change forced us to leave the beach early and spend over two hours sitting in a restaurant with our luggage — we had hoped to watch the sunset and have dinner in Beau Vallon.

Positive: I have been here for the second time in a year and it was a wonderful stay again. Mária is very pleasant, she was interested in how my day was and what my plans were for the next one, which added a personal and nice touch to the stay. Fresh flowers in a vase, mangoes for breakfast, our conversations and other beautiful little things made every day more pleasant. The view from the terrace of the ocean was amazing. The accommodation was clean. I felt really welcome there. I would be happy to come back here again! All this and her friendly way of communicating throughout the year via whatsapp confirms to me that I made the right choice. Thank you for the wonderful moments spent in your accommodation.

Positive: 1) We enjoyed a truly nice ocean view form the shared kitchen and balcony. 2) Everything was clean and functioning properly. 3) The supermarket is close, which is convenient for a self-catering accommodation. 4) Other staff (apart from the host) were friendly. 5) Marina also behaved kindly a couple of times, probably trying to reduce our displeasure and avoid receiving a negative review.

Negative: Communication with the host, Marina, left a negative impression. I would have considered other places if I had known about this in advance. During this trip, we stayed in four different accommodations, and the contrast in attitude was remarkable. 1) The host is quite an arrogant lady. She demonstrated us her conclusions about our financial status. 2) Marina portrayed us in a negative light to the other guests, telling them unpleasant things about our family. This is very unprofessional. 3) Fifteen minutes before the planned check-out time (supposed to be at 10:00), she barged in in a panic, kicking us out and getting very nervous. We were finishing breakfast in the shared kitchen area, and she, referring to the new guests who arrived, literally grabbed the cups with water we hadn’t finished drinking yet to wash them as quickly as possible. Why not set an interval between check-in and check-out times, like everywhere else? 4) On the day of check-in, she insisted that we stay in a room with one large bed, even though our reservation was for a twin room. She lied, saying that all other rooms were occupied. Only when we mentioned that we would complain to Booking.com did she offer a twin room that was actually vacant. 5) She declined our request to see the room before check-in, just on principle. 6) Before booking, we discussed via WhatsApp the possibility of accommodating 2 adults and 2 small children who would sleep with us and didn’t need separate beds. I also asked about the price. We received a confirmation and then booked. The confirmation came from Marina’s phone, but she didn't keep her word. She demanded extra payment for the second child and changed the final price three times during the conversation. Her tone was sharp and rude.
