Summary: We have been staying at Seasharp for approximately ten years now and it's always been a wonderful vacation. The house is comfortable and clean and is ideally located in Tom Nevers. We are already committed to returning next year, and I'm sure for many more.

Summary: Starting with the positives, this property is in an awesome location. The views of the ocean and the breeze it gets are amazing. It is an extremely short walk to a very private beach. With the exception of a few rowdy nights at the fairground, it is a quiet location to relax and enjoy being on Nantucket. The layout was great, loved that even though it is an upside down house the master is upstairs so you get the beautiful view in the morning. The check in process was very easy with the keypad on the door, owner was responsive when contacted. The listing says AC, but there is only central air in the upstairs living area (can cool the master if you leave the door open). Two of the bedrooms downstairs had window units, but the twin bedroom did not. For the most part this wasn’t an issue except for a few really hot days. Unfortunately, meticulously maintained is not how I would describe this house. The door out to the patio was completely falling apart and was unusable while we were there, the spindles on the porch of the dining area were loose and I was afraid one of my kids would fall right through them. There was mold in the showers, on the walls, and even on the pillows under the cases. Appliances and fixtures were just old and didn’t seemed to be cared for very well. The outdoor shower was so dingy and covered in green slime that no one even wanted to go in it, we only used it to rinse sand off our feet and never got to enjoy an outdoor shower. The house had been cleaned before we arrived but not very well. There was still dog hair everywhere which surprised me given the listing says no pets. I think the most surprising to me about this house was the amount of the owner’s belongings left everywhere. Their clothes were in the closets, their toiletries in the bathroom vanities, and closets full of stuff. We were there for 2 weeks and couldn’t feel like we were settled because their stuff was everywhere and not in an organized way. While I’m sure the kitchen was well stocked their was no way to know because everything was shoved into the pantry closet leaving no room to put food away or the ability to find something. They had everything needed for the beach but it was all just thrown onto the back porch and didn’t seem like it was cared for. I had hoped this would be the house we could return to year after year, but it definitely took away from our trip a bit to feel like we were living amongst other people’s stuff.

The family loves being close to Sconset for nice and easy morning bike rides to Claudette's for breakfast. Hanging out on the various upper decks and enjoying food and drinks cannot be beat! Looking forward to next year already!
