Positive: Off the beaten track, comfortable, quiet and yes the view is directly out to sea. Not though that if you diving from KimSha beach area allow double the time Google maps says to get there. Traffic can be very slow.

Positive: The view from the patio outside our apartment was beautiful. Edgar was an excellent host, quick to respond to anything we needed. The facilities were very clean. There’s a beautiful trailhead about a ten minute walk from the complex.
Negative: Unfortunately, no windows in the bedroom made the space super confining. The picnic table on the patio had splintered wood so uncomfortable to sit without covering it up. The man-made beach is not a beach at all. It’s a dirt courtyard with two lawn chairs with no water access. The furnishings in the apartment while clean are quite tired. Not what we expected for the price point. We had unit 6. Photos on booking.com did not reflect our unit. In fairness to our host, I think this was a booking.com error. It was the last unit available when we booked and so were not given an option to ‘ select’ the unit which would have brought up the corresponding photos. After I arrival, I checked booking for different dates to confirm what photos we were shown, and then several units to choose from came up with photos specific to the unit chosen, which did not happen at the time we booked.

Positive: The apartment was great and Edgar is very friendly & helpful. Edgar has a number of apartments available. They are in the Dutch, east Point Blanche neighbourhood right on the coastline, in a quiet, residential, safe, rocky, exposed part of the island, so it has great views towards St. Barts & Saba and you hear the waves crashing against the rocks. Perfect as we wanted a place where we could leave windows/doors open & fall asleep listening to the waves! While not luxury, the apartment is a good size, well appointed, & everything works. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a well appointed kitchen/living area, 2 private patios & parking out front. You will need a car as there aren’t any beaches, restaurants, bars, or shops within walking distance. There are 3 very friendly dogs living nearby who will great you when you arrive or leave, so please be careful of them when driving so as not to hurt them. They are wonderful & made us smile every day. There is also a large group of iguanas who live amongst the rocks below the patios, who sun themselves on a shared patio & whom the dogs love to chase given the chance! The island is small. You can drive anywhere you need to go within 30mins, however twice a day during ‘rush hour’ there are some pinch points that back up & you can get stuck for 30+ mins if you time it wrong, so be aware. You drive past the Cruise port to go anywhere, so that can get a little busy if a ship is disembarking. There are some decent bars on the Dutch side (D’s on Simpon Bay Beach was nice & laid back, Grumpy's is also good & close) but the food is better on the French side of the Island, with some great options in Orient Beach, Grand Case, & Marigot. The Dutch side uses the Netherlands Antillean Florin (NAF) & the French side the Euro, but most places take credit cards. The Dutch side has 110v with US sockets, the French 240v with euro sockets.
Summary: Wonderful and relaxing with great views and the sound of the waves.

Positive: There was no breakfast included. We purchased our own supplies and cooked breakfast in the kitchen. Which was exactly what we wanted, gave us the independence that is not available in all-inclusive resorts.
Negative: Water pipes a bit noisy. A kitchen hood and a small exhaust would do wonders.
Summary: We found the host to be excellent. Accommodations are not for luxury seekers, but was perfect for us
