Positive: Staff was wonderful and friendly and helpful. Food was a great perk. Fire pit and s’mores were such a fun idea. Views were spectacular and the amenities ( kayaks) were great!

Positive: The property is in a beautiful location and probably everyoe staying in any one of the various places to stay has some kind of view. Our room was fairly large - and had a balcony (two outdoor chairs provided) which was nice because one could appreciate some of the harbor even though it rained quite a bit during our stay. You really got the feel of the misty coast of Maine from the balcony. There was no coffee machine in the room, but there was a little fridge, so if you have cold drinks, you could always have drinks on the balcony. There is a pavillion which is very nicely lit and where coffee is provided at 7 in the morning, before the breakfast begins inside at 8 a.m. Lots of choices in breakfast - cold cereals, fruits, eggs, bacon, pancakes, toast, muffins, yogurt, juices, etc. You won't go hungry. In between the rain, I got in a swim in the pool which has lovely surroundings. It's not deep (3'9 at deepest) but does refresh - and I noticed it did have a handicapped access chair. Beach towels are provided at the pool area. While I did that, someone else took out one of the property's seak kayaks and did a fairly nice tour until the thunder and lightning started. Also, because of the rainy weather, we missed out on the property's campfires and smores... oh, well... We didn't get to do, but there's mini golf on the property and I heard some doggies, so I know it's pet friendly. All in all a nice place to stay.

Negative: I appreciate all businesses who may try to be more eco-friendly. While the dishes and bowls were what I would say is compostable (or at least easily burned) there are only plastic utensils available. (We travel with our own re-usable utensils in the car.) The bathroom, while comfortable, needed a little shelf somewhere to put toiletries on. We ended up putting our toilet kits on the small window shelf. Coffee maker in the room isn't so bad - I think one could use the microwave that is in the pavillion to heat up water and tea bag or instant coffee. I didn't ask about this, but I assume it could be done.

Negative: This “resort” is very rustic, old & out of the way. Guess it would be ok if you want to hang out in the woods but it is like something out of the 60’s & 70’s. Not what we expected at all.

Positive: The grounds were absolutely gorgeous. Staff was super nice when we got in a little after 8 pm. Rooms were dated but quaint. Nice view of the ocean out the back porch window. Free use of canoe and kayaks. Mini golf course, ping-pong. Nice clean pool and surrounding deck area with comfy lounge chairs and pretty flowers. Killer breakfast w eggs, bacon, sausage, blueberry pancakes, pastries, yogurt, bagels, cereal...all the things. Wish we could've stayed for more than one night. Will definitely be back!

Negative: Stain on bathroom ceiling that looked like mold spots or splattered dark paint. Either way it was kind of icky to see above the shower and sink. Little bit of dust. Creaky screen and door to back deck.

Summary: Stay more than one night it's worth it!

Positive: My friend and I liked the location! Lovely views of the ocean and the property was very pretty too, just needs more TLC, to make it pop. The bathroom was newly renovated, but the rest of the room was old. The view from our room was excellent, the continental breakfast was, in my opinion, well done! The staff that I interacted with were awesome and overly accommodating. They tried to make up for what was lacking. The pool was great and they had plenty of activities to keep children and adults busy.

Negative: Well, the room was outdated. The main door could be seen through (cracks). There was no WiFi, except at registration. Our blinds were broken, but we managed. Uncovered outlet in our room and the rooms could use much better lighting, very dark, even with all the lights on. they had only been open for a week, for the season, so …

Summary: Honestly, I’d stay here again, even with all that needs to be done to make it a true resort!. The staff really puts fort
