Sweeping 160-degree-wide views of the magnificent, ever-changing Atlantic Ocean are yours to enjoy from inside this charming, 5 year old year 4 season, year round cottage with its huge wrap around deck and screened in porch. From time to time you can see surfers, seals, hang gliders, and whales and passing ships.
Want to relax at the cottage? There is the wrap around deck, screened in porch, lower level patio or pine shaded hammock to enjoy. Want to feel the sand between your toes? Walk 300 feet down to the ocean on a private path just outside your door to a private ocean beach.
High on a knoll in the National Seashore, this cottage is located on Wellfleet’s ocean side in a quiet nook just off Ocean View Drive between Le Counts Hollow Beach and White Crest Beach. It has private parking. Only a few other cottages are in view.
From the king master bedroom or twin guest room you can wake up to the sun rise and the surf rolling in and have your morning coffee on your deck or screened in porch.
The open living room, dining room and kitchen area have sliding glass doors that open onto the deck and offer spectacular ocean views. A gas fireplace offers charm and warmth in the spring, fall, and winter.
This is a two-bedroom, fully furnished cottage that sleeps 4-6. The first floor master bedroom has a king bed. There is a full bathroom with shower. In the walk-out lower level there is a bedroom with two twin beds, a separate full bathroom with tub/shower, a family room with a double bed futon for the occasional guest and a washer/drier. Almost every window has an ocean view.
Also, this cottage has a dishwasher, outdoor shower, an outdoor gas grill, cable TV, gas fireplace and central heat and a window AC. Towels and sheets are NOT PROVIDED. NO pets allowed. NO smoking inside the cottage.
Wellfleet’s freshwater ponds, restaurants, art galleries and other attractions are all just a few minutes away. Wellfleet is known as the Art Gallery town. There are wonderful restaurants to eat in that specialize in fresh seafood.There are tennis courts and a golf course. The National Sea Shore visitors’ center, Marconi center, and Audubon Wildlife center are popular attractions to visit. The bay and freshwater ponds are fun to swim in. One of the few drive in movie theaters in the USA is in Wellfleet as well as a fun flea market.

Summary: Just came home from a wonderful week in Wellfleet! Expansive ocean views and a beautiful deck to enjoy them. House was wonderful and fully equipped for cooking. We found a great hike just across the street that took us to a kettle pond. Owners have done an excellent job of making their home comfortable for guests. Would definitely rent this property again!

Summary: This home is all about location, Overall great, deck and ocean views were amazing, beds comfortable, outdoor shower wish it had been rinsed some, many cobwebs, door not on, was not informed of that prior to visit. Furniture uncomfortable not cozy to sit on, maybe upgrade one of the sofas? The screened porch was a wonderful spot in this home, great to have washer and dryer

Summary: Wellfleet on the Atlantic Ocean is the best place to be! The deck at this cottage lures you in with the sounds of the waves and gorgeous skyline. We enjoyed the Memorial Day weekend here, with better weather than expected. My daughter said, "next time we need to stay for two weeks"- she lives in Boston so we hope this can be a getaway place moving forward. Tammy is a gracious host. We are thankful to have found this cottage.

Summary: My wife and I stayed at Alden Road last week. We know the area well and could not have been happier at the house. It's clean, very well equipped and the view is just what we wanted (able to see the waves break and all the way out to the horizon, 180 degrees). Tamara was super responsive to our questions. We plan/hope to stay there again.

Summary: I had a lovely restful time. Great house, beautifully situated, well designed, solidly built, well appointed and provisioned. The sight and sound of the ocean are ever present. Hardly anyone else around. I did enjoy the company of a family of wild turkeys, however. They came to visit every afternoon Highly recommended for a getaway.

Summary: We celebrated a wonderful Thanksgiving at this cozy cottage. Views were amazing, kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare a proper Thanksgiving, and cottage was clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed warming ourselves around the cozy gas stove. Check in was incredibly easy. We would love to return again and often.
