Summary: Great room & staff was wonderful. Only complaint there wasn't any place to put your luggage to open it, no designated space, no luggage rack.

Summary: Beautiful view of the river! The restaurant had a great breakfast and dinner. Enjoyed having an appetizer at the bar overlooking the river. Very clean, and a comfortable bed.

Summary: Checkin staff and bartender were wonderful. The waitress during breakfast was rude to our group and anorher family. Elevator was out that evening and of course we were on the 3rd floor.

Summary: Oaks on the River couldn't be more different from the chain hotels and mostly in good ways. The physical layout of rooms set in multiple buildings including two 200-year old mansions is the most obvious. Our king size bedroom felt very king-size. We arrived late in the rain and found our room with A MAP. Dining room was filled but the room service option was there. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and well worth its $25 charge, The grounds and dining areas in the mansions were striking. We chose OotR by chance in the midst of a 1600 mile driving trip but plan to return to stay and visit NYC.
