Positive: The pool was nice and so was the restaurant

Negative: We did not get the bungalow shown in the picture that we had so been looking forward to. We got a dark damp room with no windows at al. The airco wasl hard to adjust either too hot or too cold and a constant enormous noise of cars and motorcycles till past midnight. Very very disappointing!

Positive: The staff were all super friendly, both at the reception and in the restaurant.

Negative: The lodge itself is older, and a little in need of repair in some places. In the pool, there were a lot of loose tiles, and around the pool there were loose deck boards. Some of the ladders into the ocean were really loose and didn’t feel 100% safe, and covered in algae etc. Nothing was particularly terrible but for the money it isn’t worth it. We stayed at an Airbnb just down the road that was cheaper and nicer.

Summary: Nice, but other places are better value.

Positive: That it was over the water and very spacious, huge bed. Also only a 6 minute walk to nearest supermarket. Leilani and other staff were really friendly and helpful… nothing was too much trouble. Pool was lovely and we had a delicious dinner at their restaurant Le Gecko.

Negative: Nothing

Summary: Superb stay at Oa Oa lodge, great value and fantastic staff. I highly recommend.

Positive: Incredible spot - the highlight of our trip! Snorkelling just off our balcony we were able to swim with rays and even a shark - no tours required! Watching the sunrise and sunset from the beautiful glass double doors was perfect. The staff (especially Tom) were friendly and very helpful - thank you for the wonderful memories!

Negative: It's not freshly renovated (if you're picky about the odd patch of peeling paint) - but for this price and this location you really can't do better!

Negative: Lack of tea, coffee, milk, sugar and no re-fill of toilet paper. Had to ask another guest for some of their toilet paper to see us through to our departure the next day.
