Positive: The location was idyllic. Quiet and peaceful and steps away from a country road into the hills with endless opportunities for exploration. The outdoor seating area was very comfortable. Carmen was delightful and helpful. She met us early, answered our questions and shared farm fresh eggs. The beds were comfortable and the shower was great. Kitchen fully stocked with dishes, utensils, pots, etc. and it was great to have a washing machine and drying rack that we could set outside. Right off the Camino with restaurants and basic groceries within walking distance.

Positive: The owner was lovely. She offered to drive us into town for dinner. She instead made us sandwiches, which were prefect after a long day on the Camino.

Negative: My clothes were dripping wet after the washing machine finished. I'm not sure if it was my fault or the machines.

Summary: The guess house was very comfortable, and the setting couldn't have been nicer.

Positive: We booked this property as our last accommodation before finishing the Camino de Santiago. 4 ladies who walked from Porto and wanted a bit of peace and introspection before the big day. What we found was much more than we expected! Carmem is an amazing host, welcoming the first girls arriving personally, giving the tour of the house, even leaving us a delicious treat we all very much appreciated. The house is gorgeous, very comfortable and clean, and has everything you need to spend a good time, but the best bit was the sofas in the porch, where we stayed until was dark enjoying the views and sounds of the nature while reflecting about our journeys. It was an absolutely magical, and I’m so glad we did chose O Cobo Vacacional for our last night!

Positive: Spacious, comfortable home just off the Camino hosted by a kind, efficient and accommodating host. Wonderful front porch with a pastoral view. Our host even drove us to a local tavern and retrieved us when we were done. GREAT VALUE.

Positive: Beautiful, quiet and well appointed, this home is a haven. Carmen has thought of everything and made it possible for us to have a luxurious night of rest along the Camino Portuguese.

Negative: Booking Dot Com makes it very difficult to locate this property. The name on local signage is different from the name listed on the website and in email confirmation.

Summary: Peace and recovery only 5 minutes walk off of the Camino.

Positive: This house is delightful and so comfortable and I can't recommend it enough as a final overnight stop for Pilgrims on their way to Santiago. It is on the Camino and rural, but is within an easy walk to a bar/cafe. The shower is phenomenal and everything is spotlessly clean and simply wonderful. Carmen greeted us and left us fresh eggs and bread and butter and milk plus some beer. She is a very kind and authentic hostess. Thank you so much. We loved it all.
