Positive: The location was great, in central San Juan, close to both the lake side, and the town. The accommodation was easy to find, Feliciana and her sister were so welcoming. They each insisted if there was anything at all we needed, to come and find them, and I felt they genuinely meant it. My favourite thing was watching the sunrise from the garden each morning, a glorious outdoor space, it felt very private and we spent quite a lot of time there each morning. Great to have use of the shared kitchen, the shower had hot water, and everything was clean. I would very much recommend this accommodation, they were attentive, kind and generous with their time, expertise and culture.

Negative: Useful to note that the shared kitchen is directly beneath the room we stayed in, although not an issue for us, I could imagine that the open structure of the stairs might not feel 100% private to some guests.

Summary: Serene gardens, beautiful sunrises, and a warm welcome.

Positive: San Juan is a very active and congested town. Even though Nuevo Sol is in the heart of the town with several restaurants within a hundred meters, the property behind its' walls is quiet and lush, surprisingly so. There's a beautiful yard with plenty of places to sit and soak up the beauty and tranquility. The owners are wonderful and easy to get along with. There's also a kitchen.

Negative: There are only three rooms, which is both a negative and a plus. No reception desk and no english spoken. Also, if you have mobility challenges, this is not the place for you; there is a steep passage to the entrance.

Summary: I was very fortunate to find this place although it now is on Booking.com for others to find.
