Positive: Most importantly the location, right by the city centre tram station. The bedroom was very comfortable with a super shower. The breakfast was excellent and varied although no fresh fruit available.

Negative: We had a problem with a label stuck to an apple in the fruit salad, so not properly washed but we did get a bit off the bill! My main gripe is the expensive car park. Also the dinner is overpriced, but not surprising. The Novotel should not become complacent with good reviews, as generally it is a very nice hotel. We didn't use the pool, I was put off by comments of small and not private changing facilities. My wife, Scottish educated, was very disappointed with the breakfast 'tatty scones' which should be cooked on a bakestone or dry frying pan, not deep fried!
