Positive: The hotel is located close to the edge of downtown and just up the hill from Old Town, making it easy to explore both on foot. The room was clean and a good size. It also had air conditioning, which was great due to the heat wave Yellowknife was having. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The Restaurant onsite has tasty desserts and they were also very friendly. The hotel also has an airport shuttle.

Negative: We unfortunately were told that the hotel had been overbooked and we were given a room with 2 queen beds instead of a room with 1 king bed. But the manager and other staff were quick to apologize and give us a partial refund.

Positive: Excellent location beside the Heritage Centre walking distance to Pandavil (the only restaurant for dinner) and the Northern(a general store) easy to find and access

Summary: A spotless residence with great facilities. Modest but very comfortable. Fantastic host, Colin. Great communication.
