Summary: The hotel did the job, but two issues, the first major one is the location does not correlate with the map on the Hotels.com site, which indicates it is in Mold town centre. So when leaving Mold after visiting, I was surprised to see a 15min journey, meaning I was 30mins from the location I was visiting on Saturday. Secondly, small shower gel and shampoos still provided, not eco friendly.

Summary: Stay was fine, basic room and we couldn’t get anything to eat or drink at the hotel so had to drive out

Summary: The positives: Lovely check in lady, large room, very comfortable bed, dog friendly, most areas recently refurbished, access from A55. For the price, this place is excellent. Breakfast was good, I had a freshly cooked breakfast, toast & a yoghurt. Decor is generally fresh. Plenty of parking. Nice, spacious grounds. Large dining room. The parts for improvement are, glasses in the room/bathroom, a hotel info pack (I had to call to check the breakfast times as forgot & nowhere to see it). A bit more cleaning of communal areas (some cobwebs in the windows in the dining room). It was very quiet, only a few people staying. I really hope the refresh brings more people in and they could consider opening the bar/restaurant in the evenings. All in all though, I'd definitely stay there again. Great value, lovely grounds and genuinely the best sleep I've had in a long time on the comfortable bed.

Summary: Pleasant stay, room was spacious and comfortable, windows didnt open which as well as making the room stuffy seems unsafe in the event of fire. Quiet, lovely surroundings.

Summary: Disappointing, NO BAR, NO RESTAURANT. I would not book again

Summary: Hotel was shortstaffed but they tried to assist us where possible. Was sure that I had booked to include breakfast but the remote support said that I hadn't - assistant manager sorted that out in the morning. Decor was old but the room turned out to be comfortable.

Summary: The main problem was the poor choice and quality of the breakfast. On the first morning, the alternative breakfast was missing the advertised yoghurts and pastries. There were no mushrooms or tomatoes with the cooked breakfast, although these items were supposedly included. There was no choice of bread, most of the tables were half set and the general quality of the food was poor. On the second morning, there were no tomatoes or mushrooms but this time, no eggs either. This left no choice of cooked breakfast at all. Generally the hotel seemed tired and run down. The chef worked hard and tried his best but nothing he did could make up for the general delapidation.

Summary: The big negatives first. I booked a classic room, paid extra for it. Arrived at the hotel and was taken to.... A normal room. The receptionist didn't bother to tell us we'd been downgraded, and when the difference in price was mentioned....this was completely ignored. She tried fobbing us off saying it's the same kind of room, despite making one as a classic room with 4 poster and the other as a standard king size room. Id paid for the 4 poster classic room not a normal one. It turns out that no one had cleaned the classic room. Had dirty bedding and towels etc. So had a downgrade and they chose to ignore the extra money I'd paid. Bit fraudulent really. The room we ended up with was ok, if I'd booked that room then I would have been pleased with it. Location is beautiful, breakfast was lovely. But the rip off and fob off will be the main memory.
