Welcome to Norrsken View! Perched high above Fairbanks, our home offers stellar views of Denali, the Alaska Range, and unobstructed view of the "norrsken" (Swedish for northern lights) on clear nights. Just 20 minutes from town and above the ice fog, it’s close enough to explore all that Fairbanks has to offer, but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet of interior Alaska. With a washer/dryer, full kitchen, fire pit, WiFi, and kid friendly amenities, there is something for everyone to love!
Large south-facing windows, wrap-around outdoor deck, family sized outdoor sauna, and secluded 2 story covered porch allow you to experience the beauty of the country regardless of weather conditions. Only two steps into the house, an easily accessible bedroom and full bathroom with walk-in-shower will accommodate guests with restricted mobility. The dining room, fully equipped kitchen, coffee bar, and adjoining living room complete the lower level.
An Alaskan log staircase takes you to the upper level common area, good for groups, watching TV, or sleeping. There is a master bedroom, a queen over twin bunk room, a laundry room with washer/dryer, and full bathroom with tub. From the common area there is access to the covered porch with a summer sitting area to experience the breath-taking views of Fairbanks, the Tanana valley, Alaska range, and Denali.
Outside a wrap-around porch with summer fire-pit and patio furniture overlooks the yard, with hiking/biking/cross country skiing trails just a few minutes away.
On a side note: for groups that don't require as much space and want an even more exceptional view, we highly recommend the nearby accomodation "Tiny Home on The Dome W/ Hot Tub".
The entire house is available for your use and enjoyment except the wood stove. The outdoor storage buildings are not accessible, but ample parking and outdoor car plugins are provided.

Summary: Property was very clean and very well stocked. The hosts left a nice gift basket for us which was nice after a long drive. Sauna was awesome and so were the views. Northern lights were a real treat. Great stay and great host!

Summary: The view was amazing!! Took in Denali a few times...We couldnt stop looking out the windows or going on the large deck. The property had all the amenities we needed for a family of 6. Plenty of sleeping options. Kitchen had everything to make full meals. Enjoyed campfires and the sauna after spending the day exploring Fairbanks and the surrounding area. The kids loved meeting King the neighborhood dog too!!

Summary: This VRBO was a dream! 5 stars on all levels! Host had excellent communication! Location couldn't have been any better! House was clean, comfy, spacious, equipped and had a modern woodsy feel! All the furniture was new, clean, and comfy (inside and outside)! Extra supply of towels, sheets, and blankets. We all had a great time! When showing photos to other friends who were visiting Alaska, they all commented on how lucky we were to have this view! The 2 outdoor patios and firepit area were amazing! We stayed on one of the hottest Alaska summer days and despite not having central air conditioning, there were multiple vans available and the home stayed cool. We would definitely stay here again!! Perfect! Thank you for the great stay!
