Positive: The room was spacious and clean. The food was very nice. The location is excellent for exploring the region

Negative: We were in room 1, which looked out onto the main road, which was unexpectedly quite busy. There was a manhole outside that rattle every time a car drove over it. But most annoying was the buses that parked up early in the morning, leaving their engines running, we were woken up early every day. Of course, this is not the hotels fault, just an observation.

Negative: No back ground music in the bar so lacked a bit of atmosphere and could hear other people’s conversations. On arrival to the bedroom which was lovely, went to use the bathroom for the first time and the toilet hadn’t been flushed properly.

Summary: Lovely overnight stay which was pleasant. The cooked breakfast lacked quantity.

Positive: The location was fabulous. Right on the high street. Bed was extremely comfortable and the staff were very friendly. They are currently decorating the property which is needed in places.

Negative: The spa was fully booked on the day we wanted to use the pool. The room was quite noisy as the windows are only single pane. The pub and restaurant was lacking any atmosphere. We did ask if a little background music could be played but it never happened.
