Positive: Great location and generally the property itself was a nice "Air B N B". Very comfortable sofa and bed The accommodation once reached was clean and had a full kitchen with expected appliances The host enabled us to access the property earlier than the stated time of 3pm for which we were grateful

Negative: the lockbox for the keys was hidden by an unhung door, leaning against the wall in very narrow hallway, this caused me to have to message the host but I found the box before I got a response. the stairwell to the third floor was very dark, the movement activated lighting was very poor and cut out very quickly making access and egress to the property dangerous, it was also filthy (the carpet had not been vacuumed and the railings were very dusty/dirty). In the accommodation itself, we only had access to one tiny cup and one mug, yet there were numerous other cutlery and crockery fit for a household which was strange. Overall the lighting in the rooms open to us was poor. There was no instruction book for the cooker but I managed to figure it out - it appeared to be a microwave/dual purpose which I was unfamiliar with. Basin in toilet was too small to use and due to calcification did not work well as per the overhead shower head in bathroom, but the hand held shower was fine so we used that.

Summary: Good accommodation other than stairway and lighting, great location, central for everything.

Negative: Had a little look Thur the books ect and come across quite a few note pads with disturbing writing/ venting witch made me feel a little bit on hedge talking about dissecting body parts ect maybe move them for future lol but you have a lovely place and would b happy to stay again

Positive: I had a wonderful experience staying at this apartment during my trip to Amsterdam. The space is incredibly spacious and airy, with a huge living room that was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city. The bed was very comfortable, ensuring restful nights throughout the stay. One of the standout features of this apartment is its central location. Most of the main attractions are within walking distance, which made it super convenient to explore the city on foot. The neighborhood itself is vibrant and lively, surrounded by excellent restaurants, cafés, and convenience stores—you’ll never run out of options nearby. If you’re looking for a comfortable, well-located, and spacious place to stay in Amsterdam, I highly recommend this apartment. It felt like a home away from home.

Negative: There are just a couple of things to keep in mind. The apartment is on the fourth floor with no elevator, so if you’re traveling with large luggage, be prepared for a bit of a workout on the narrow staircase. But then again, it’s Amsterdam—most old buildings are like this, and it adds to the city’s character. Also, the owner forgot to provide soap, so make sure to bring your own or grab one nearby (they’re easy to find).

Positive: Comfortable, although the lack of something like a kettle is quite inconvenient. However, the location is excellent—very close to the train station, which is super convenient when you’re traveling with a backpack. From the station, it’s literally an 18-minute train ride to the airport. Cleanliness is so-so, but the great location makes up for it, so it’s forgivable. Overall impression is positive. However, please fix the bathroom door handle—when you’re staying with a friend rather than a partner, it’s definitely uncomfortable. The shower water control also requires extreme precision and at least two days to figure out how to use it properly 😉. That said, the price is fantastic for Amsterdam, so in the end, some inconveniences are bearable.

Negative: No kettle, a loose bathroom door handle, scalding hot water in the shower that’s hard to regulate, and a non-working ceiling light in the bedroom.

Positive: A friend of ours stayed here and recommended this place to us. And wow, she was totally right: the apartment is such a hidden gem in the city center of Amsterdam, just amazing! Located on the 3rd floor, it gives you access to all the restaurants and bars, whilst not being able to hear much noise when you're upstairs. The apartment is full of Nordic and high-end style furniture, kitchen and appliances, and its very clean. Everything looks brand new, it's all very stylish and nicely put together. The host is also great, very easy to reach and checking in if everything is ok upon our arrival. We had such an amazing time in Amsterdam, and next time when we go, we will book this same place. I can really recommend this apartment, it was an fabulous experience!
