Unique. Elegant. Open. Tucked in a quiet cul-de-sac nestled on the edge of a cliff, this fully renovated duplex is a perfect base for all your Black Hills adventures! This unique property is one of two surviving duplexes from the historic flood of 1972. This home was moved from it's original creekside community to the top of this hill where is has resided since 1973.
Less than 10 minutes from Rapid city center, less than 5 minutes from the Black Hills National Forest, and approximately 30 minutes to Mount Rushmore, you will be right in the heart of our beloved Black Hills.
Our large 2 bedroom, 3 bath, 1931 square foot duplex has a large open floor plan with floor to ceiling windows looking out into the beautiful Black Hills from the edge of a cliff. Upstairs are two private bedrooms. The large master bedroom is equipped with both a king size bed, a sofa pullout, a walk-in closet with stackable washer/dryer, a private balcony overlooking the cliffside, and an ensuite bathroom. The second large bedroom has a queen size bed, twin bunk beds, and a large closet. The bathroom for this space is in the hallway next to the bedroom.
On the main floor is an open floorpan kitchen with a giant granite island seating 4 people. A dining room seating 6, two sitting areas, which looks out over the hills and a large smart TV over the fireplace make this a perfect community space to relax and unwind in-between your adventures.
On the main floor is also a full bathroom and a trundle bed that has two twin beds. The main floor also walks out to a large back deck overlooking the hills.
As a disclosure, the internet works great, but cell service tends to be spotty unless you are on the front or back deck.

Summary: This location is much better than staying in town. Great host and easy to get a hold. Great communication. This is a small thing, but meant a lot to us. There was water bottles in the fridge and there was ice that was cracked and ready to use. Smelled clean. The neighbors even were great. The man with the white lab was so welcoming. Really cannot say enough. Quiet place.

Summary: This was the perfect place for what we needed. It was just outside of the city where we could enjoy the peace and quiet and the beautiful scenery that the Black Hills provides. Yet it was close enough to any of the attractions and food establishments we wanted to visit! The house is lovely, and so peaceful! We hope to be back someday!

Summary: We enjoyed our weekend here. The owners were wonderful in the booking process- immediate, professional responses. A clean home, comfortable beds, spacious & perfect for our stay. Enough tables, chairs & space to have friends & family over for dinner also. Beautiful views from living areas, dining & master bedroom. Air conditioner control in both bedrooms was great! All around a fantastic stay!

Summary: Stayed for 5 nights while attending the Sturgis Rally. Fantastic VRBO! Great location, spotlessly clean, ample room to spread out, very quiet neighborhood with quick access to shopping, restaurants, gas, and grocery stores. Beautiful canyon location on quiet cul de sac. Great communication from property manager. The garage was extremely useful as it rained most evenings and the bikes could be under cover. Would definitely stay here again!
