Positive: The red squirrel lodge was honestly one of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed. The whole place was spotless. The rooms, the bathrooms, everything felt incredibly clean and fresh. The lodges are really spacious too, which made it feel more like a home than a hotel. But the absolute best part was the bed. The sheets and duvet were such high quality, soft, cozy, and just felt super luxurious. You can really tell they’ve put care into every detail. It’s the kind of place you instantly feel relaxed in.

Positive: The lodge was amazing, tastefully decorated, kitchen thoughtfully equipped, the fire place added a level of luxury. The views from the lodge breathtaking. Very peaceful environment.

Negative: The bed on the en-suite room was not comfortable, and felt old with the dip where you lie down. Shampoo & bath gel provided, would add a level of luxury with conditioner & body lotion plus bath salt beside the tub.

Summary: Really great getaway place to relax and reenergise.

Positive: Idyllic location overlooking the river. Amazing views from our bedroom. Lovely walks around the area. Absolutely picturesque. Beautiful house. Clean tidy and provided with everything you need. Excellent open plan kitchen. Lovely sitting area overlooking the river. Comfortable beds. Excellent WiFi. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Negative: No restaurants on site- didn’t affect us as it is self catering.

Summary: Fantastic stay.
