‘The Property Venues’ premier accommodation is the Helton House. The Helton House is a 4 BR 3 BA modern rustic mountain secluded retreat located 15 minutes from Boone and Blowing Rock NC. Only 8-12 minutes from Linville Falls, Linville Caverns, Grandfather Mountian and Sugar Mountain Ski Resort.
The Helton House is part of ‘The Property Venue’ located in Linville, NC and is situated on a rustic 10 acre working farmstead with our local goat, chicken, duck, guard dog and cat residences. A stay at The Helton House or a wedding/event at ‘The Property Venue’ will ensure a relaxed, peaceful weekend or event wedding on the farm with the animals!
The Helton House has been completed designed and decorated with all new furnishings throughout and all brand new therapeutic Imperial Aloe Vera mattresses and bedding to ensure a complete sleep experience.
The house is over 2800 sq ft with 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths, an open family room, dining room and kitchen concept. Every room features floor to ceiling windows that open to several views surrounding The Helton House. An architecture spiral staircase centers as the focal point of The Helton House. Wrap around decks overlook several areas of the mountain farm which include our small valley with over 30 blueberry bushes, apple groves and such.

Summary: We had a wonderful time staying at this property! It was very clean and well stocked with anything you could need. The only thing that could be a damper was there was no wifi and cell phone service was spotty.

Summary: Our family had a lovely, relaxing week. The house was clean! It is beautifully decorated, well stocked with thoughtful ammenities, and has a great layout. It's not easy to tell in the photos, but the owner's house and one of the neighbors are fairly close by. So if you're looking to be completely alone, this may not be the choice for you. The owners were great: helpful and friendly. We arrrived the day 5 baby goats were born - so fun. There are lots of great hikes nearby, including strolling through the woods on the property.

Summary: We had such a fun and relaxing time. The beautiful views, well kept and beautiful farm property, and ideal house made our family Fourth of July escape just perfect. Not to mention the farm fresh eggs and amazing blueberries as well as the entertainment from our new goat friends.

Summary: This property is a beautiful home and setting ! My wife and I and young adult children enjoyed getting together for the weekend and starting our Christmas season with a trip to Christmas Tweetsie, shopping in Boone and Blowing Rock. David and Shannon were easily accessible and the check-in process was extremely easy. The only negative comment I did hear over the weekend, was the property dog (Arlo) would bark during the night making sleep somewhat difficult if you are a light sleeper. Overall, it was a great weekend and beautiful property!

Summary: The property is beautiful and extremely scenic. The house is really nicely decorated and the bedrooms were very comfortable. The firepit is lovely and the outdoor dining is a really great set up. The house was well stocked with everything you need. The baby goats and farm fresh eggs were definitely a highlight. One item to note is that the house comes with a friendly, large dog, Arlo, so if you are not a dog lover this could be an issue. We loved having her around, but others might not. The only thing that could have made our stay better is if there were 6 Adirondack chairs. We loved hanging out on the deck and wished there was enough seating for all of us. Overall a fabulous stay and we hope to be back! Thank you David and Shannon for hosting us!
