Summary: The Good: Excellent location. The abundance of wildlife and the quality of the view over deliver. The house was spacious, comfortable, and the kitchen was stocked. Less desirables: The beds were all missing a top sheet, which was a bit odd. There were more spider webs inside than I would expect for a place that recieves a cleaning service, and the grill was in need of some cleaning.

Summary: Our family name is Bird and this VRBO provided a great perch for us we played for an entire week enjoying the beautiful nature around Brinon. This is a great place and we will be back:)

Summary: My family did a long weekend at this home and it was wonderful. The location cannot be beat. There were seals swimming around out front at all hours of the day and many eagles flew past. It was peaceful and quiet and the house is set down from the highway enough that we felt comfortable having our dog out in the yard. The house is also very well stocked, including toys for water activities, like a nice new kayak, life jackets, and other boats. We had the best time hanging out on the beach and on the deck just enjoying the scenery. We will absolutely be back.

Summary: A gorgeous place, with a spectacular water view, but a few little disappointments. The hot tub had been taken out and the TV didn't work. Also a low mechanical hum at night was annoying when trying to sleep.

Summary: We were very disappointed that there was no hot tub as this was a feature we sold to our manager as a time to relax after a day of training.

Summary: We enjoyed our short stay immensely; our goal was to relax, enjoy some great company, play some cards, and just tune out the rest of the world. The views are fantastic, including the estuary to the North. Bring binoculars! There is one pair there, and you will want more. Every bird in the PNW was out there in multitudes: Eagles, Osprey, all kinds of seabirds, Great Blue Herons, King Fishers whizzing by, humming birds, all the little birds, Cormorants, ducks, geese, and probably more I am not thinking of. Seals abound, too. The sunrises were beautiful to watch. We did not take the boats out or drop crab pots, though we watched others haul up their bounty. The beach is many stairs down and it is not a walking beach, per se, but a great exploring beach, especially at low tide. This place has plenty of beds and sleeping areas, mostly in the basement, which was clean, and pretty much only for sleeping. The living space would get quite crowded if every bed was full to capacity. The deck furniture was dirty/covered in leaves & pine needles from constant wind that weekend, so we couldn't really sit out, though in calmer weather we would love it. We pulled the grill around to the side where the wind would be blocked and enjoyed delicious grilled steak and veggies; a great plus. The kitchen is well-stocked with all the dish/cook wares, glasses, and cutlery, anyone could need. An abundance of clean towels, too. We always bring our own knives to rentals, since theirs are always dull, so I don't know what their knives are like. There was even some foil to use, which we appreciated since we forgot ours. This is an older home with older amenities. This didn't bother us in the least, though you may need to know: It isn't fancy and it functions very well. The hot tub controls are cracked and non-functioning, though the tub itself was warm enough to enjoy in the 45-degree weather. The jets are permanently half on/half off, which is odd, though I enjoyed a long soak out there with a great view. The washer/dryer were non-functioning; no problem for a 2-day stay, though on the fridge it asks renters to wash and dry the towels and linens they use, and run the dishwasher before leaving. With a $180 cleaning fee, I don't mind putting the towels in the hamper & starting the dishwasher before we leave, though I don't see us doing that much cleaning. We enjoyed the Geoduck, too. We want to go back to explore more and enjoy this home again!

Summary: Clean and well maintain beautiful views

Summary: Leading up to the visit I did have to do a tiny bit of emailing to ensure I’d have the access info I’d need to get it (it would be late and dark and with the kids in the mix I needed to ensure a smooth process). Upon arrival everything was great. The downstairs floor is a little odd and we didn’t really use it. The main floor and the top floors served our family of three adults and two kids just fine. Kids loved the hot tub. The adults loved the access to the beach, the views (the sunrise was incredible each morning), and our ability to explore nearby (the salmon were running and it was a sight to behold!). I received several pings from friends on social media after sharing some of the beauty of the water, sky, and nature asking if they could get the listing for where we were staying. It was a lovely trip! We made some great memories here and had a very comfortable stay.

Summary: Very comfortable and welcoming home overlooking idyllic Hood Canal and surrounding mountains. Having Olympic National Park nearby is a real bonus as well!
Dec 3, 2013 03:41:47 AM
Summary: This home is everything the owner says it is and more! The kitchen is very well stocked with appliances and kitchen utensils etc. The beds are all comfortable and you will feel right at home in this spotless retreat. Outdoor we all had so much fun. Between the hot tub spa and the fire pit and crabbing and picking oysters there was so much to do. To us Mother Nature's beauty was astounding! Here it was the end of November and we barely had a drop of rain. There were fantastic sunrises. We saw a huge herd of elk, sea life like oysters and clams and a sun star fish with so many arms, paddled with the sea lions, put down crab pots, went on hikes to a falls and the state park down the road. I could go on and on. We saw something none of us had witnessed before too. An eagle was trying to fly out of the water but could only get up about 3 feet and then fall back to the water. He then held onto whatever he had (fish or big bird) in his talons and swam with his wings as paddles back to the shore on the delta to have a feast which he shared with another eagle. It was a joy to watch this real life nature show! It was difficult to leave 'our' paradise! I'm sure this will go down for all of us as the most Memorable Thanksgiving Ever!
