Summary: This was a nice hotel for an overnight stay during a long road trip. One of the highlights was being able to watch the World Cup final in a comfortable common area together with other guests, which created a great atmosphere. We also had dinner at the restaurant, where we enjoyed delicious local cuisine, including elk. Breakfast was equally enjoyable, with a good selection of options. There were just a couple of minor inconveniences. The TV in our room wasn’t working, and although we had a private bathroom, it was located outside the bedroom, requiring us to cross a public corridor to reach it. This wasn’t a major issue for a one-night stay, but we would have appreciated knowing this before booking so we could have considered our options. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and a good place to rest while travelling through the area.

Summary: Checked in off-season at the last minute, and was still received very warmly. Spotless, nice room. Be aware that the hotel is right under an ancient railway bridge - if a train should pass, the noise will be not less than when the world ends … Otherwise really great.
