Summary: My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Mystic River Resort! The location in the jungle, near the Macal River, is magical! ALL of the staff provided warm and exceptional customer service - special shout outs to Florita, Dervin, Steve, Ebias, Leo, and Augusto. The complimentary birding tour was a delight and a favorite of ours. The Guide was so knowledgeable (we can't remember his name - sorry!) but we loved seeing the birds and learning more about Belize/Belizean culture on our drive back to Belize City (he was also our driver). All of the food and drinks were incredible - we especially loved the buffet when we first arrived and the nice cold Belikin - some of the best food we had the entire trip! We also enjoyed a couples massage, which was so relaxing along the Macal River listening to the birds and water flow by. We loved our cottage as well - the bed was very comfortable, the fireplace made for a cozy, romantic setting, and the balcony was our favorite spot to enjoy the morning Coffee Basket! :) Gio and Sylvia were both very helpful in coordinating our excursions and activities, transportation, and answering our many questions! We definitely hope to return to Mystic River Resort again in the future! Thank you for setting the bar high for our Belizean adventure and helping us create such wonderful memories!

Summary: We had a lovely stay. The staff were excellent. The only things I would suggest is that the room could benefit from a heated towel rail as towels didn’t dry very quickly. Also a tea making facility would be nice.

Summary: Mystic River Resort is a beautiful property, with awesome accommodations and staff. What the owners have thoughtfully built in the jungle is really impressive. If we're back in the area, we'll stay here again.

Summary: The resort itself is located about 30min away from the hustle and bustle of San Ignacio and its situated right along the Macal River which made for perfect water sounds in the mornings and at night. You’ll hear birds chirping, and it’s just so peaceful. The staff can organize rides for you to go anywhere you like, and the food at the restaurant is amazing!

Summary: The grounds are beautiful, service was really nice. However, the resort should come with warning, there is no air conditioning or dehumidifier in the room therefore you are sleeping on the wet mattress under wet cover wearing wet sleepwear. It would also be nice to have coffee maker in the room as some of us are early birds and don't want to wait until 6 am.

Summary: Everything was overall very nice and people were sweet, but the shower was rough! It was either burning hot or freezing cold we did all the things the said but could only get a warm comfortable temp for like 3 seconds. I called them to come 4 times and it just never got better. It was tough because we have a lot of curly hair to try and wash and we’re doing lots of activities.

Summary: The staff and service was impeccable and is the highlight of the experience here. The grounds are beautiful We were here during slow season so not much going on. The tour was very good. The only reason for the four stars was we were disappointed in the breakfast and lunch. Dinners were better but I think the main issue was we were the only people there.
