Positive: We actually had an apartment adjacent to the hotel as there were three of us it was tucked around the side but very comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly the manager offered us advice of where to visit on our onward journey. The location is perfect.

Positive: Breakfast was good, coffee was not good. The bed was comfortable and the suite was spacious. Good water pressure in the shower. Overall a very nice place and the view of Shetland is super.

Negative: The coffee at breakfast was the worst we had on the NC500 but that's about it.

Positive: I stayed in a single room looking straight out to the tiny island of Gairloch and the larger island of Skye, amazing sunset over the water. I loved the peace and quiet and had a lovely wander around and out of the village before dinner. Excellent and varied dinner menu, all good value. Good choice for breakfast too.

Negative: Being a single person, I was always given a poor table in the restaurant, whereas coupes always sat at the better view tables!

Summary: A good value and comfortable hotel.

Positive: My score was low because I was longing for a drink when I got back from my Community Council meeting yesterday evening (they stock good beers and my tongue was hanging out for one!) - but when I got back there at 22.10 the bar was closed!

Negative: They could provide shampoo and conditioner in their shower, as many other hotels do. I slipped over in their slippery shower, hurt my foot slightly, and had great difficulty standing up again! But I should not appear to run down the hotel; it is really a very good one, as my scoring shows. But no beer last night was a shame!

Summary: A lovely hotel to stay in in a beautiful location - but my visit was not without incident!

Positive: Great location in the village and warm welcome. The staff were able to accommodate our family of five joining us for dinner after we arrived at little notice. Both the food and expecially breakfast were excellent. Our room overlooked th bay and was very comfortable with an extra large bed. We would definitely stay again.
